Weird Camera

Samir was walking home after another boring day. The school was just like this most of the days; however, today he started walking towards a secluded area in the town. It was like his mind was taking him there against his will.

He was mindlessly walking when he realised that he had reached the corners of a dense forest. It was the end of the town; they were surrounded by mountains. All in all, it was a very pleasant place to live in. If only he had that kind of money.

Samir didn't want to go to his house right now. His father would love to continue his morning barrage of insults and the house was too gloomy, he couldn't even watch porn in that mood.

Taking his mind off that stuff, he walked, careful not to trip, step by step, he followed a downtrodden path inside the forest. Admiring the scenery, this didn't went on for long as he suddenly slipped and tumbled down to god knows where and lost his consciousness.

When Samir opened his eyes, he was lying on damp grass in front of a huge cave.

"There's a cave like this?" This was Samir's first thought after getting up and dusting himself.

He couldn't help but get attracted to it, like something was calling for him. He slowly walked inside the cave as if in a trance, looking at dark rocks forming shadows due to the faint light coming from the outside.

He didn't walk far when he almost tripped again on an object. It was a camera.

Shiny silver metallic exterior with a wide lens attached to it, looking like an antique you see in a forgotten store.

He picked it up and examined it. The camera didn't have any blemishes or scratches. He expected it to be broken, but it was working fine; for some reason, he avoided clicking the shutter and just looked through its lens.

Samir shoved it in his bag.

Samir doesn't remember when he came back. He only knows that suddenly the camera was sitting at his bedside table, and he was sleeping in his bed; he doesn't even remember meeting his father. Which was odd as he was fairly late.

Removing these thoughts from his mind, he groggily woke up and picked up the camera. No matter what anyone says this things was weird as fuck. When he looked at the world through its lens, he felt some strange sensations in his body. What were they?

Before he could examine it more properly, his door slammed open,

"Care to tell me where the fuck were you retard?!!" His father screamed, dressed in blue overalls.

Samir got shocked and accidentally clicked a picture with the camera. His father was directly in the line of sight. Almost like magic, the whole world became silent, the strange sensations that he was feeling became more profound, and his mind started getting fed with strange language.

He knew it, this is it. This was the moment he was waiting for in his life. This camera will be responsible for changing his life.

How could he understand that language he didn't know, but he knew what he had to do.

"What do you mean, Dad? Isn't this when I used to come home?" Samir said innocently, still pointing the camera at his dad.

"Wh- uh, huh? Uh yeah, yeah." His dad stopped in his tracks, "You didn't get me a beer you piece of shit, what about that?!" He continued, almost like he wanted to find a new reason for beating Samir.

CLICK!

"I got it, Dad, you drank it already", Samir replied, still in that innocent tone.

"When the fuc- Uh yeah, okay yeah. Doesn't mean you are not useless piece of shit, now sleep quietly!" his dad screamed and went away. Slamming the door behind him.

Samir sighed and looked at the camera. There was a very devious smile on his face.
