I'm a little disappointed even if not surprised. Such a beautiful girl with very interesting skill would make a fine travel companion, but as grateful as she is for my help there's a limit to that. " What does it do? " she ask after turning it over.

" It is a call card, as long as you keep this with you I will be able to join you and communicate with you, it also works the other way. Get it near a flame and put a drop of your blood on the mouth of the face and we will be able to talk. If you stand in a circle drawn on the ground and rip it in two it will transport you to me with up to your body weight of what was with you in the circle. " I explain.

She looks impressed and carefully stores away the card in one of her utility pouches containing the tools of her craft.

" That's amazing, but why give it to me? " she asks.

" In your travels you might come to be stuck somewhere you'd want to leave, or find some ancient tome or Keldrin crystal that would be hard to fence on the regular market. I see this as an investment, someday you might want to change your mind or find something useful to me. The card should work fine for about five years, past that a call might still be possible but too much power will have faded away for the summoning part. " I reply. Knowledge that I did so in my own interest seems to reassure her.

We strip the tree militia men and check their belongings. Their clothes are filthy and stinky like only clothes that are never washed can be, besides I can't risk being caught with one uniform in my luggage. Another small flask of very bad wine that I don't even take. (neither does Gilian, the vinegar she rinsed her mouth with tasted even worse than having cum in her mouth did)

Knives, badly shaped and rusty, clubs too easily recognizable with a crown engraved on it. Gnash dug a grave away from the road and piled the bodies, weapons and clothes in it, not before ripping a few limbs away to eat their flesh. (It's a little off-putting to watch but I won't waste the change to feed him for days for free)

In the end we find some copper and silver split between them that amounts to 7 shillings in total, I keep 5 and give Gilian the rest (mostly small change in copper.)

After a last kiss (and butt groping) we part ways. I stop a few hours later to eat lunch from my stored provisions and it isn't until nearly sun down that I reach a large clearing with a village in it.
