We need to talk

Jessica entered the teacher's room for lunch. Inside she saw Cindy eating her lunch. After grabbing her salad wrap from the fridge, Jessica sat down with her fellow teacher.

"Hey Jess."

"Hey."

"So I hear you and Spencer are a thing?"

"It's already hot gossip?"

"News travels fast."

"Well, we are."

Noticing Jessica's dour tone, Cindy asked "It not going so well?"

"Eh, a little hick up. Amy found out and well, we've clashed a little on Monday."

"Oh. Sorry to hear it."

"Thanks. I mean it should work out."

"Probably." Cindy shrugged her head. "This is why I don't do relationships. Too much drama."

"And too much monogamy?"

"You know it." Cindy chuckled before walking off, allowing Jessica to finish her lunch. Once done, she sent a text to Spencer:

'hey I will have some time off today. Could we meet at the corner coffee house at 2?'

'of course cant wait'

Spencer sipped some more of the coffee he had made before he got another text, this time from Cindy.

'congrats to you and Jessica. just a word of advice you might wanna delete some of those photos I sent you'

'that from experience?'

'it sure is'

Once he pulled up by the cafe, Spencer took a deep breath. As he walked up towards Jessica, he wondered what was going through her mind. Then again, he took the smile that lit up her face to be a good sign. Once he sat down, he said "Hey Jessica."

"Hey."

"So you've got some time off?"

"Well normally I'm doing paperwork, but... we need to talk."

Spencer shrugged his head. "We sure do."

"So you good Spencer?"

"Yeah, I mean... it's all good."

Jessica nodded. "Look if you need some time..."

"We're fine Jess. I mean this was always going to happen, even if this isn't exactly how I planned."

"Right. I just wanna make sure you're okay."

"I'm fine."

"Well if that's the case, you doing anything this weekend?"

"Not really but I get a feeling that's going to change."

"It is if I have anything to do with it."

"You got anything in mind?"

"Uhh... hmmm. Might have to get back to you on that."

"Of course. Can't wait to see what you come up with."

"Nor can I."
