Wayne Willis

As the door to Jesse's office opens, you see the unmistakable figure of Wayne Willis. The look on your face is that of surprise. "Get in." Jesse scoffs, ushering you into the now tightly packed office. As Jesse walks in behind you and closes the door, there is a moment to take in your surroundings.

Jesse's office is cramped and cluttered. There's not really very much real estate as compared to Wayne's opulent office. A simple office desk, computer, and most notably, stuffed-to-the-brim filing cabinets and paperwork everywhere.

"John." Wayne begins.

"Wayne." You reply, ready for what must certainly be the end of your career at Willis Enterprises. Before Wayne continues, Jesse steps in the conversation. "I can see why you picked him." Wayne nods. The look of confusion on your face is simply priceless.

"I can see yer confusion. Sit down son, I have something to share." You sit at Wayne's behest. Jesse walks over to his side and starts. "What we're about to say don't leave this here office. Capiche?"

You nod.

"Nobody ever dared demand their respect from me as a fellow man. I am a Whitman much like Wayne and yourself. So I treat everyone like shit and see how they respond. Helps us gauge character and see how much of a fit they are in both our organizations." Jesse states.

"You mean... Another test?" You ask, shocked. Wayne nods. "You bet. And you're exceeding our every expectations. Let me show you something." Wayne hands you a clipboard with a file on it. "Go ahead, look. It's your file." You do so and see check marks under several places you didn't even know was being graded. About how you faced Wayne. About how you considered and placed the needs of the Whitman Society above your own. A last note in Wayne's writing, "Mentor to be future head of this chapter of the Whittmen."

"You're serious..?" You stutter. "Yes. I wasn't joking when I told you I loved you like a son." Wayne replies.

Jesse interjects, "And with your standing up to me here like you did today, we want to fast track you through the production room floor. Wayne here has told me his plans for you and how'd you fit in this company. I won't mind you as a boss and think you'll do just fine."

"Wait, your boss?" You question. Jesse and Wayne nod. "In time." Wayne says. "For now I want you to finish up your week with me." Jesse says. 'I'll get you to each of the stations by the end of the week. Since this is a special arrangement, you'll have to come in this Saturday too because our agenda is so full."

"Now don't be expecting any special treatment from Jesse when you get back out on the floor. We'll be putting up a veil of normalcy until your transfer into the office next week. You'll start off in HR, I want you recruiting Whittmen for our plant." Wayne says.

You nod. "Okay. I can do that."

Jesse replies, "Great. Be ready when because when you go out that door I am going to chew your ass."
