Way Back When

Lewis never told his parents what cause his powers to awaken, why would he they would be terrified if they knew. Was it Daemons? No. Was it some cursed artifact? No. It was a Dragon. They have long been extinct or so they would like the world to believe, their numbers a too few, most are too old and some day they might truly go, but at the moment they are endangered. A week before his birthday, a girl he had never seen at school before stated to send him singles that she was interested in him, all those subtle body language clues; lip bites, exposing her neck, locking eyes with him then looking away, standing close to him whenever possible. You’d have to be oblivious to miss it, but Lewis had a low self esteem, since he was fat, he weighed nearly 250 lbs.; he was clearly out of shape and he never really thought of himself as anything but average looking. He didn’t even know the meaning of the word confidence at least in the context of interacting with the opposite sex.

But this girl wasn’t like his current crushes…he had like three (Alisa, Elizabeth, and Vivian), well maybe she was like Alisa but she just thought of him as the sweet little brother type (FUCK!) and Vivian (whom he thought he had the best chance with) got herself a boyfriend a week before the prom, which he was going to ask. He did as someone thought, Elizabeth…only she had promised to go with her bff (her friend had just broken up with the bf after she found him cheating with some busty blonde). He went stag , unintentionally since he was lead to believe by his bff (a girl named Genevieve) that they’d be date but she said “they’d go together” which meant her on and off again bf would tag along, nothing worse than being a third wheel stag. Prom sucked, especially when her bf got into a fight got them kicked out then got pulled over by the cops after he ran a red light which had been after he stopped at some guy’s house to buy illegal ****, which the cop that had pulled them over had a **** sniffing dog. Perfect! They were still minors but her bf was not charged as one, Lewis was let go as it was his first brush with the law. “Poor Gen, she had two kids now with that guy, hopeful he isn’t that bad anymore.”, he thought to himself before being accepted to Saint’s Academy.

But this girl that was into him before graduation was named Pearl, she was a dirty blonde with a nice pair of attention catchers. Considering that Elizabeth swore of men after her bff’s last relationship, and his odd with girls that he liked enough were ‘zero’, it wasn’t too hard to believe that he went for it. She laughed at all his jokes and touched him every chance she got, his only hope was a girl named Jackie (his crush from his sophomore year, also it’s short for Jacquelyn). Why? It’s because her ex-bf had been Pearl’s most recent victim. Jackie liked Lewis and in that way (and honestly she was really hot, nice pair, wore thongs all the time, because she had a great ass, and she eve tease Lewis about her love of giving bj’s and swallowing) but she was stuck her ex, which made her think Lewis deserved someone that only wanted him (nice thought but Lewis unbeknownst to him he was the kind of guy who could get a girls mind off of…what was she thinking of? A gift from his father and his father’s father and so on, all the men on his side of the family could turn on the charm on anyone but his was so passive no one knew and it would only work subconsciously).

While Jackie tried her best to warn him off he was far too smitten to listen unless she did something more drastic like say maybe a good bj, nah, a kiss is more than enough for Lewis. Sadly Pearl stuck first by getting Jackie’s ex to and patch things up which neither suspected she had done. You see Pearl was part of a magical cult that was slowly stealing what little magical energy normal’s had and allowed their Dragon Lord to enthrall them growing his army of worshipers (some didn’t need to be enthralled). But you’re saying “wait dragons can’t enthrall”, you’d be right but the added benefit of being very old if not ancient means more than likely you’ve pick up a few tricks, and this Dragon had, Xyawos Lord of the Black Thunder. Or at least that’s the name he wanted his cultist to know him by.
