Is it as easy as Waverly and Nicole hope? Do they get as far as the station, and what awaits Waverly when they do?

Waverly gets company

Waverly sat in the back of the car with her legs pressed tightly together and her hands on her lap, trying to convince herself that no one outside would be able to see anything amiss. It was just Nicole, and she trusted Nicole.

She could probably get a change of clothes or something at the station. It was definitely a better option than following Wynonna like this.

"Ten-fourteen on Perserverance," Nicole's radio crackled to life. "You're nearest."

Waverly hadn't been paying attention. She'd found it easier to ignore the voices. If she pretended this was just an ordinary car ride, if she ignored the car seat's texture on her butt, it was easier not to blush.

Nicole's sudden panicked fumbling caught her attention though, she watched her girlfriend reach for her radio.

"Er, is anyone else available?" Nicole said.

"Negative, head to Perserverance Road."

"I've got someone from the last call in the back," Nicole said. Waverly started to feel very, very nervous.

"You can fit more than one. Get to it officer!"

The radio fell silent. Waverly fidgeted, hands still on her lap, as Nicole looked back at her sympathetically.

"What was that?" Waverly said, nervous.

"They want me to check something else out," Nicole said. She coughed. "I... Hopefully I won't need to bring them to the station."

Waverly's eyes went wide, and stayed wide for the whole journey to the next road along. Nicole parked, and Waverly shuffled to the side of the back seat, biting her lip. Her fingertips dug into the skin of her thigh, and she bit her lip nervously as she watched Nicole deal with the altercation.

And watched Nicole, reluctantly, cuff a man and start dragging him to the car. Waverly whimpered. Maybe walking with Wynonna was the better option after all.

Nicole pushed him into the back, and he suddenly started staring at Waverly's legs. Waverly pushed herself away, tugging her top down as much as she could, stretching it out of shape. It didn't hide much.

"You, best behavior," Nicole snapped at him, before looking at Waverly. Her expression softened. "Sorry. I, er... We should be at the station soon."
