Watch for a while

You continue to watch the scene in Jim Gavin's office. The person finishes rummaging in the drawer and sits up, taking a sip of from the glass.

It's a young dark haired woman, no one you've ever seen before. She picks up the glass and drains it, then pours another finger of whiskey out of the bottle. She turns to look in another drawer and sees you looking in the doorway. She freezes as she sees you, then stands, her eyes darting around the room.

"Can I help you?" you ask politely.

"I'm just...I'm with the cleaners," she says with an anxious look at you.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't recognize you."

"I'm new. I just started. It's my first day," she answers, still looking nervous but trying to smile. "I was just putting stuff away in here."

"Sure. Well, I'll let you get back to work. Sorry to startle you." You smile and nod and leave the door. She gives a visible sigh of relief at your words.

You go back to the lunchroom and open the electrical panel for the office. With the flip of a switch you shut off all power, and the floor immediately goes dark, the only illumination provided by the lights of nearby buildings. From somewhere in the office you hear a little yelp of surprise.

You remove your jacket and tie, putting the latter in your pocket, and kick off your shoes. Moving on silent sock feet you prowl back to the area of Jim Gavin's office, keeping in shadows. You see a figure in Gavin's doorway, outlined against the outside lights. A small slender figure that pauses, then starts to move, almost immediately bumping into the corner of a desk and cursing quietly.
