War of the Identity (Fantasy, TG)

Centuries ago, spellcasters fought each other for power. Many transformer warlocks and witches used their powers in unethical ways.

Transforming mortal women into male soldiers, turning rivals into frail maidens, etc ...

The Wicked Sorceress Elandra was considered the worst offender. The remnants of the council of warlocks sentenced her to banishment, transforming her into a man with no memory of who she is.

In the aftermath, the mortals transformed were disregarded by the pompous spellcasters. Which led to an increase of dysphoria in them and their descendants.

In recent years some wizards have taken it upon themselves to fix these curses. Each taking on their own preferred methods to resolve it. Some will find two siblings of opposite genders and swap their bodies. Some will create entirely new identities for others.

While still controversial, there is a law within warlock and witch kind to punish misogyny with gender transformation. But without it transferring to the guilty's innocent descendants. A safe guard most spellcasters in the past did not think to do.
