Chapter 30 by jw_wjw jw_wjw

Can the family do anything to avoid getting kicked out? How much trouble is Walkowicz in?

Walkowicz threatens to leave them naked in the cold

(Many thanks to the AI for helping break this 1.5-year writer's block. I took it from here after the first four paragraphs.)

The silence was palpable, broken only by the hum of the refrigerator in the kitchen. Walkowicz's eyes narrowed as she looked at Sam, her lips pressed into a thin line. Joanne and Lacey exchanged a worried glance, their bodies tense and ready to bolt at any moment.

Suddenly, Walkowicz burst out laughing. "Oh, this is rich," she said, shaking her head at Sam. "You think you have a case against me? I own this house, and I make the rules here. If I want your clothes off, they're coming off."

Joanne stepped forward, her hands on her hips. "Ma'am, that is completely unacceptable," her voice was steady despite her nakedness. "We are your guests, and you do not treat guests like this. I demand that you let us get dressed and leave."

Joanne's tone was authoritative, but there was a slight tremor in her hands that betrayed her nervousness. Lacey stood behind her, her arms wrapped around herself, looking small and ****. Walkowicz's eyes flickered between the two women, her expression a mix of amusement and irritation.

"Listen here, both of you," she said, her accent thickening as she spoke. "I don't care what you harlots do in your free time, but if you want to be naked so damn bad, then you can all get out of my house - and I'm keeping all the clothes in the dresser as payment."

"Hey!" Lacey piped up, as almost all the clothes under dispute were hers, "We'll leave, but you can't take all our stuff. We haven't done anything wrong, and it's freezing outside!"

"Too bad! If you're not out of here in five minutes I'm calling the cops!"

"Call 'em now!" Sam continued to defy the elderly host.

"Okay!" Walkowicz dialed 911 and explained the situation to the dispatcher.

"Hi, yes. I have a domestic disturbance of three AirBnB guests who won't leave."

Sam saw Joanne creep behind Walkowicz, her hands right at the waistband of the woman's pants. She started to panic and shake her head furiously, hoping and praying that her mother wasn't about to do what she thought she was about to do.

What does Joanne do to Walkowicz? How do the cops respond to all this?
