Walking to the store

“Are we going to drive?” Alexa asked as Michelle walked past both their cars.

“Why bother? I want to spend some quality time. Plus it’s a nice day out,” Michelle said.

“It’s snowing,” Alexa said.

“Exactly,” Michelle said. “So we better enjoy it. Besides the roads might be too icy. It’d be safer to walk since it’s so close.”

“Okay,” Alexa said.

Michelle wrapped an arm around Alexa as she led her down the sidewalk. “Lexi… when you say your stepmom would spank you, what exactly do you mean?” Michelle asked.

Alexa blushed. “Anytime I’d have an accident,” Alexa said. “I would be brought over the knee and spanked red. It was supposed to be a way to tell my body not to do it again. It never worked. But my stepmom was the only one who would do it. Maybe it should’ve been more often.”

“More often?” Michelle said. “Do you really think they helped?”

Alexa shrugged as she looked down. “I guess not. I would always get embarrassed. It’s not like I meant to wet the bed.”

“Did she do anything else?” Michelle asked.

“What do you mean?” Alexa asked.

“Besides the spankings. Was there any other punishment she would give you?” Michelle asked.

“Well… not really,” Alexa said. “I mean other than corner time and diapers.”

“Diapers?” Michelle said. “She would make you wear them at night?”

Alexa shook her head. “I wish… she would make me wear them 24/7 until I had a dry day and night. I don’t blame her though. I mean, what else was she going to do?”

“And she’s the only one that would do this?” Michelle asked. “Or would your other parents do the same thing?”

“Well…” Alexa said. “I wouldn’t really know. I only had accidents around her.”

“What do you mean?” Michelle said. “I thought they’d only occur during Christmas?”

“Not then,” Alexa said. “It was really whenever I was visiting my dad. My mom didn’t know about my accidents.”

“What did your dad think of them?” Michelle asked.

“He didn’t know,” Alexa said. “He was always working. So it was just my stepmom usually.”

“Wait? So neither of your actual parents knew about your accidents?” Michelle said.

Alexa shook her head. “No.”

Michelle scrunched her nose. “That doesn’t sound right, Lexi. Are you sure she didn’t do anything to you?”

“I dunno…” Alexa said. “Michelle, no offense, but I really don’t want to talk about this right now. It’s embarrassing. What if someone were to hear us.”

Michelle nodded. “Okay. I’ll drop it. But I’m really concerned about this, Alexa. It sounds like something else was going on.”

They finally stopped in front of the store. “Let’s go inside,” Alexa said.
