Walking through town

Rachel regretted her decision of walking to the salon. It was a nice, sunny day and the two mile walk through town to the salon had been so pleasant on the way there, but now she was dreading it. Her head felt light due to her missing hair, the wind tickling her exposed neck.

She looked down, regretting her choice of rather shapeless shorts and a white shirt. Why hadn't she worn a dress, something to accent her femininity? These clothes just repressed it, adding to the fears her new, very short hair inspired.

The salon was downtown, and she walked through the crowded streets of pedestrians. She tried to reassure herself. It probably wasn't nearly as bad as she thought. She was obviously feminine, she was just being insecure! She was an adult woman, these fears were absurd! Nobody would ever mistake her for anything else... right?
