Walk with Tiffany

When Mark exited the locker room he saw Tiffany waiting for him. She leaned against the gym wall wearing jeans and a sweater. Even in the causal clothes she looked stunning and Mark smiled as she walked over to greet him.

“Making the new guy stay late?” She asked.

“Pretty much. I didn’t think football was this complicated, jocks are supposed to be dumb.” Mark replied.

“Careful now, you’re one of us now. So wanna walk back to East Hall and talk?” Tiffany asked.

“You have to promise me we will walk slow.” Mark groaned “I can barely stand up.”

The two of them had a causal chat for a bit before Mark got up the courage to bring up the reason he’d texted her.

“I’ve been thinking about last weekend a lot, Tiffany. Thinking about how incredible it was but also how confusing the situation is for me and probably for you too. How are you feeling about everything?” Mark asked.

“I had a lot of fun with you too Mark, but I feel a bit conflicted. I’d be lying if I said it was just fun sex with no emotions attached to it, but I don’t know what that means with you dating Winter. I’m also still kinda hurt that you chose her over me last year. I’ve never had a guy turn me down like that before.”

“I’m sorry you feel that way Tiffany, but we are both kinda to blame for that. We both knew I was obsessed with you last year and basically stuck in the friend zone. Then you and Travis broke up and suddenly you were available for me. Like I didn’t just want to be a rebound for you.”

“I didn’t think of you like that at all. I always had feelings for you even with Travis but never wanted to cheat. I’m just not that type of person.” Tiffany said.

“Where does that leave us then? We’re super attracted to each other but too emotionally involved to just have causal sex and you’re too good a person to try to get between me and Winter.”

Mark and Tiffany walked for a while in silence reflecting on their feelings and thinking about the possibilities for them. A crazy idea came to Mark. He wasn’t sure if Tiffany would go for it but decided to risk bringing it up.

He finally worked up the courage to break the silence “I can’t just go back to being friends with you Tiff. I want you way too much for that. This might sound crazy, but I want you to be my girlfriend. You and Winter both. I’ll have to talk to her about it, but if she’s okay I say we give it a try, the three of us.”

As the two of them approached East Hall Mark paused and waited. He’d taken his shot. Tiffany might laugh at the him, slap him or just say no. Instead she turned and kissed him hard then pulled away, giving him a beaming smile that always made him melt inside.

“Is that a yes?” Mark asked stunned.

“Yes, I want to give us a shot. I’ve seen what a great boyfriend you are to Winter and want that too.”

They had reached East Hall. Standing outside the door Tiffany asked “walk me to my room?”

Mark replied “umm I should probably go talk to Winter about all this. It’s a pretty big decision that she needs to be a part of.”

Tiff kissed him again. “Come on Mark, boyfriends walk their girlfriends to their room. That’s part of the deal.”

With a nod he followed her into East Hall.
