Waking up and breakfast
The next morning, you wake up feeling the lingering weight of the conversation with your mom. As you head to the kitchen, you notice her moving around silently, her demeanor cold and distant. She doesn’t say a word to you, just a brief nod in your direction.
Alison, on the other hand, is her usual playful self. She gives you a mischievous grin and teases, "Good morning, brother! Or should I say sister? Maybe Mom really wanted a real daughter like me!"
You force a small smile, but the teasing stings more than usual. "Not today, Alison," you mutter, not in the mood for banter. She senses your unease and drops the topic, though her playful smirk lingers.
You quickly ate your breakfast, had a cup of milk then head off for your internship
