Wake up

“Wake up, Diana wake up.” She says as an alarm blares. My eyes jump open, my hands grab Shika’s shoulders as I roll her into the floor pinning her to the ground. My senses come flooding back to me as I realize what I’m doing. I quickly get off of her and stand to my feet. “What do you need.” I ask helping her too her feet.

“Diana we have to get out of here the station is under attack. Skull has called for mass evacuation.” The sound of distant gunfire rings throughout the corridor.

“We have over 100 heroes on this station and we can’t handle men with guns?” I ask somewhat sarcastically. My words fall on closed ears as a look of terror comes over gemstones face. I turn to look out the window as a fleet of space ships warp into view from seemingly nowhere. “Looks like a party now.”

“We need to get to the teleporter now.” Gemstone says stern as she grabs me by the arm and runs out the door.

“What’s the problem Shika?” I ask before a hail of laser fire rips apart the station behind us. “Nevermind I think I figured it out.”
