"Of course, you were thinking of Itachi." You looked to Nagato, who nodded in confirmation. "Well...do we know where he is at the moment?"

"He's currently been hired to **** a few local leaders in the Hidden Grass by their rivals." Nagato explained. "Much like you, we haven't made contact with him due to the risk of compromising his mission. As you know, the Hidden Grass specializes in diplomacy. "I suppose we'll have to wait then?" Konan asked Nagato curiously.

"I doubt it'll take too long. Knowing what we know about him, we have nothing to worry about." Nagato sighed. "Then...should we head back to our village for now? It's a bit exhausting to control one of the Paths from so far away and for an extended period of time."

"Mmm..." Konan thought for a few moments, but then nodded. She could always come back anyways. "Yes, we should go then." Nagato nodded and they both left the scene, and eventually, retreated back into Amegakure, the Village Hidden in the Rain.

"It was fun staying in the village while it lasted~" Konan hummed to herself as she stripped off her clothes, still admiring all the nice piercings and accessories she has on her body now. "It's been a while since I've visited the villagers...perhaps now would be a good time..." Konan quietly spoke to herself as she settled on checking out the village herself, using her paper jutsu to reform her paper wings, she flew down to the ground, quickly landing gracefully. 'Thankfully, everything seems to still be in order.' A few of the Amegakure shinobi, who saw Konan land, quickly made their way over to her, and kneeled reverently.

"Miss Angel..." One of the shinobi addressed her respectfully. "To grace us with your presence! It's an unbelievable honor."

'Uwah...they're really zealous, huh...' Konan thought to herself as she kept up her stoic face. "Yes...please, raise your heads. I wish to know how the village fares these days." Konan spoke softly, but firmly at the same time.

"Yes Ma'am!" Another shinobi answered as she went about detailing everything that's been happening so far in the village. "Everything as of the moment is working as they should be, the villagers are in good spirits, the crops are growing well, new construction efforts are taking place to replace the older, more decrepit buildings, and nobody has thus far managed to infiltrate the village to our knowledge, Ma'am!"

"I see...you're all doing excellent work. Be proud of yourselves, and continue to work hard not just for your sake, but for the sake of those around you. Is that clear?" Konan told them.

"YES MA'AM!" They all shouted in affirmation.

"Good, dismissed. Despite all the good news, I would like to take the opportunity to explore the village myself. There will be no need for an escort." Konan spoke to them about what wanted to do, making it clear she wanted to do this alone.

"Of course, Ma'am! If you ever need us, please just call upon us and we will be there to assist you in a flash!" The shinobi bowed deeply once more before they all disappeared, going back to their posts and duties.
