Wait and soak up the atmosphere

You're in no hurry, being quite happy to stand around and listen to the sounds of a few dozen young ladies receiving chastisement. Because of the way the pillories are arranged in a grid, you can't see too well any except those nearest you, but the gentle buzz of strap on flesh, the murmur of conversation between the spectators and the low moans and sobs from the players and cheerleaders (mostly from the away side) combine to produce a pleasing hum of activity, everybody working together to achieve the desired outcome of grateful castigated females and happy and content disciplinarians.

You're actually a bit sorry when it's your turn to take one of the tawses on offer and administer a couple of sharp slaps to the captain's sore and rosy-looking belly button, before handing it on to the fan behind you, a twenty-something wearing a replica shirt that matches the number of the player she's about to spank. You stop to give a few words of encouragement along the lines of being sure the university team will manage to secure victory next time, or the consequences will be considerably worse than this. The college blue thanks you by name, which does surprise you, since there are surely far too many tutors on the university payroll for any of the students to know more than a fraction of those not from their area of study. Your fame precedes you, it seems.

You saunter slowly towards the exit, deliberately giving time for Dr. Morgan to finish her inspection and catch you up. She tells you she's happy with the way the girls are being treated and behaving, then mentions that the group she came with have enough space in their car for one more if you want a lift back to college. Socializing with your colleagues might be nice, but it's already getting late and you consider heading straight home to get ready for dinner.
