Wait and Inspect the Boat

You wait and watch as the clear dominant member of the group leads the troop into the jungle, barking orders through his thick beard as his bulge swayed in his pants with each footstep. Finally when they've all gone, you creep out of the waters towards the rowboat left behind.

Within the boat, you find a deadly looking dagger, a small journal, and an assortment of iron shackles strewn across the boat. You are still unsure as to the exact purpose of these intruders, but your observations thus far indicate they aren't here with peaceful intentions.

You take the knife and journal, and store them inside a magical pouch you keep tied around your broad hips, able to keep any items within dry and protected from water damage.
