WHAT?

Your first reaction to this development is WHAT THE FUCK ? But, you keep quiet and try to understand what she meant by “He'll make a wonderful prize”.

After a few brief moments, you ask, “What prize and what for?” Then thinking to yourself, you ask, "Do I really what to know the answer to that question?"

“Didn’t Ellen tell you about the prize?” she replied.

“No, she didn’t” you say, as you shake your head.

With your anger rising at being made a prize in some weird contest, you swim to the side of the pool, saying as you climb out “I'm not anybody’s PRIZE! And, I'm out of here.”

Walking into the changing room, you grab your towel, and start drying yourself off. As you are changing back into your clothes you hear somebody walk into the room. Someone who has obviously just gotten out of the pool. Their wet footfalls hit the tiled floor as the walk down the corridor towards you.

Leaning over to look down the hall to see who's coming, you see Ellen, her wet bathing suit fitting her like a second skin. Her face is flushed, and she looks a little scared. As you're the only one in the locker room, it doesn't take her long to find you. Sitting down on the bench beside you as you zip up your jeans, she apologizes.

Then she begins to explain what the PRIZE thing is all about.
