Vs. Buster Girl! (Phase A)

"Go ahead and show me an attack, Buster Girl." The mysterious bot in shades taunted her opponent, holding out her free hand and curling the fingers inward in a classic gesture of invitation. "We'll see if you even have what it takes to scratch me."

"Huh?" Buster Girl raised an eyebrow at her strange opponent. "Normally, I don't take turns in a fight... Wait a sec. You said we were warming up, but aren't you just gonna take advantage of me after I call my attack? That's not fair!"

"Hmph. What do you take me for?" Break Girl gave a cocky shrug, tilting her head up to look down on her opponent. "I don't need cheap tricks to beat an opponent like you. I won't retaliate for this first volley. Just show me your offense." What she was thinking was entirely different from what she was saying, though... "I don't even have a clue how to fire this thing yet! I'll watch Buster Girl do it and take notes."

"Okay, you asked for it! If I don't even have to defend myself, I'm gonna go all out from the start!" As Buster Girl made her declaration, she began to glow with yellow energy and emit a strange wop wop wop wopwopwop noise.

Break Girl had never heard the noise before... However, to her surprise, she could identify it. "She must be charging her Girl Buster. Aaaah, uawawa...! If she hits me with that, I bet it's gonna hurt like crazy! What do I do, what do I do?!"

The inexperienced combatant tried not to let her trepidation reflect on her face. "Think, Break Girl, think...! You've actually got a bunch of defensive options, don't you? What would be the best defense against a charge shot? Let's think... It's gonna be a big hit, for sure. Can I actually dodge a shot like that from an experienced fighter who knows I'm not fighting back? I could try and shield it, but how tough is my shield, even? Or, maybe... this is the time to find out how good my armor is? If I'm going to take a hit eventually, maybe it ought to be the one I know is coming..."
