Just take it!

"Am I crazy? I'm really gonna let her shoot me with that thing of hers? I must be nuts!" Still, there was some strategy to this. Break Girl needed to experience pain at some point, or she wouldn't be able to handle it in a real fight. What better time than when the enemy had promised not to follow up? "L-Let me have it, Buster Girl!" she shouted as confidently as she could, spreading her arms to either side.

"You're underestimating me, huh? Big mistake! I don't remember any of Dolly's Mistresses being that dumb before, but here goes! Charge shot...!"

Break Girl held her reckless pose, trying to dig in her heels and suppress every self-preservation instinct she had so she could take the shot without dodging. As she did, she felt a certain moment of zen. Perhaps fear was the real mind-killer in these situations. If she didn't think about it hurting, it would probably-

That train of thought came to an end as the plasma shot impacted her with a heavy shunk, blasting a scar into the stomach of her outfit and knocking her off of her feet and back onto her butt. "Oooowow oh oh oh oooww! Oh my gosh, it h-hurts so bad, so so b-b-bad!" Before she could stop it, she could feel hot tears burning at the corners of her eyes, then falling down her face as she clutched her stomach with pain. "You... Buster Girl, why would you... Uwaaah!!"

The heroine took a few steps forward, frowning with guilty concern. "B-Break Girl, are you okay?! I didn't know you were gonna be such a baby about- I mean, uh, I g-guess I should have held back a little-"

"H-Hmph!" Break Girl rose to her feet on shaky legs, clutching one hand to her stomach and trying her hardest at a cocky smile. "Did I fool you? It'll take a lot more to make me cry, Buster Girl," the awful actress claimed, as though there weren't tear streaks on her pretty face.

"I wasn't trying to make you cry..." Buster Girl kicked her foot in the dirt, feeling like, somehow, she was the bad guy. "This is a fight, isn't it? S-so, it's your turn... try and hit me with something if you can."

"That overconfidence will be your end, Buster Girl. I'm not gonna let you have another shot like that." Break Girl grit her teeth in concentration. "Gotta think... At the very least, I think I can actually use my weapon now. What would be the best way to pay back that big jerk who thinks she can get away with whatever she wants just because she's cute... I mean, to attack her and defeat her?! She's probably right that if I fire a charge shot like she just did, she'll get out of the way. Maybe there's a trick I could use?"
