CHAPTER 1 - The Cul-de-Sac
“Heading out on my walk, Mom!” The eighteen-year-old boy called out as he opened the front door of his house. “Be right back!”
“Alright, sweetie!” His mother responded from the kitchen. “Did you take out the trash?!”
“Already did! Bye!” He ran a hand through his short, kind of spiky, dark-brown hair as he stepped out on the porch and closed the door. The house was a cozy, middle class two-story building, with navy-blue walls and a black roof. The young man grinned as he took in the view of the street around his neighborhood.
Home, this was what the Cobalt Drive cul-de-sac felt like to Zachary Bishop. After seven years living away from Azure Rocks with his older sister and mother, they were finally home. The two weeks since their return had already been happier than any of the previous two years in the gloomy metropolis of Quartz City, making him miss the other places he lived in, but finally being in Azure Rocks was even better.
Starting out on the circular road by passing through the house on the left, a quick glance told him his best friend’s family wasn’t home yet from their week-long trip. Yes, his mother had been lucky to get a house right next to where his old friend from years ago lived. Continuing, he nodded at Mr. Roberts, a grumpy guy who was probably in his mid-to-late twenties. He grinned at the thought that people only tolerated the man in the neighborhood because his wife was really sweet and was the daughter of an old couple that lived up the road for many years now.
Deciding to run a few laps before going up the street, he increased his pace a tiny bit. Zachary wasn’t a very buff guy, but he had some lean muscles, courtesy of a few sports he sporadically played for fun over the years and this jogging routine his older sister had put him on. The other houses at the end of the cul-de-sac were occupied, but no one came out until he was finishing the third lap.
“Morning, Mrs. Zimmer!” He nodded at the blonde woman with a smile as she went out to pick up the mail.
“Oh, good morning, Zachary! Say hi to Monica for me, please,” Harmony Zimmer returned his smile and went back to her house.
“Will do!” He called out and kept going on his run.
She was a quite good-looking blonde woman in her early-forties, and he learned that she would actually be his Math teacher at school when he started senior year in a month. She had three kids around his age, but he had only really talked to the eldest one, who was kind of friends with his own best friend. His thoughts drifted to the boy who was his age, who he had met a few times, but his sister claimed it was hard to pry him away from his video games during the summer, so he hadn't really gotten to know the boy yet.
Completing his laps, Zachary started up the street that led down to the actual cul-de-sac. Passing by the Whites and Hudsons, he slowed down a bit at the Riveras, his eyes widening at the delectable sight coming from the opposite direction.
“Morning. Mrs. Rivera!” He nodded, forcing himself not to stare too hard at the forty-year-old’s athletic and toned body in the bright red gym outfit. Snug around her Latina curves in all the right places.
“Hi, yourself, Zachary! That’s good, keep yourself healthy!” Susan Rivera returned the greeting with an easy grin as she jogged past him toward her house, her black ponytail flying behind her. He had to bite down on his bottom lip when gazing at the round ass framed by the tight fabric of her pants.
Forcing himself to keep going, Zachary recalled that he had met her daughter, who also was kind of friends with his best friend, the two playing soccer together at school. The young woman sometimes gave him the impression of being just as provocative as her mother.
As he reached the upper street, he shifted his icy-blue eyes to the right, where it abruptly ended in an old, abandoned house, and then took off to the left, passing by the Cole-Austens’ house. He met the boy who lived there, a friendly guy his age, but hadn’t met his twin sister yet, as she was supposedly out of town in a LARPing camp. Most of these young men and women, he knew from the time he first lived on Azure Rocks, but since they were all young kids, he didn’t remember them too deeply, unfortunately. From there, Zachary took another turn and ran through the street until he reached a small park. He had come here a few times to read, but admitted that the cul-de-sac was often quieter. Doing a few laps and finally getting sweaty, the young man decided it was time to head back home.
Opening the door a few minutes later, he was greeted by his mother, who was coming out of the kitchen. “All done?” Monica Bishop inquired, her own icy-blue eyes trained on him as she smiled.
“Yeah, it was a good run,” he responded, reaching down to pet his mewling black cat, Orion. “Mrs. Zimmer says hi, by the way.”
“Oh, I’ll stop by later,” she replied. His mother was a quite beautiful woman at forty as well, her long dark-brown hair falling down her shoulders. She was quite voluptuous, with her rather large chest straining a dark-blue blouse. Not that Zachary noticed, of course.
“The McRoses aren’t home yet,” he commented as Orion began rubbing himself on his legs.
“Yes, about that, Zack. There’s gonna be a bit of a gathering later on the street,” Monica revealed as she passed by him and sat down in the living room. It was a Saturday, so she didn’t go to the clinic where she worked as an Ob/Gyn doctor.
“Another one?” He chuckled, finally picking up Orion, the kitten promptly closing his bright-green eyes and dozing off in his arms.
“Yeah, the Whites were thinking about throwing one, but since the McRoses are coming back from their trip, they decided to use it to celebrate their return,” she smiled fondly. The Whites were like the wise elders of their neighborhood and everyone loved them. “Just thought I should warn you.”
“Ah, no worries, Mom. I love those parties they do here,” the young man laughed. In the two weeks since they moved into the neighborhood, two parties, or small gatherings as it was usually referred to, had already occurred. “Taylor up yet?” He realized that there wasn’t any noise coming from upstairs.
“Oh, no, she’s at Hannah’s. They had a sleepover,” his mother informed him. “She’ll be back before lunch, though.”
Zack, as his friends and family usually called him, nodded and made his way to his room in the basement, not before setting Orion down on the floor again. Once they moved, he had decided that a room in the basement was so much cooler than a boring one upstairs, and his mother had agreed, so that’s how they did it. It was a cozy room with all he needed. A spacious bed, a desk with a laptop, a couple bookshelves filled with his favorite mystery novels, a TV with his favorite gaming console hooked up to it, and a wardrobe, besides a couch, a couple armchairs, and Orion’s bed, of course. A door led to an en-suite bathroom, the place where Zack was heading to at that moment. He stripped his clothes and stepped into the shower, relaxing under the warm water cascading upon him.
Thinking about the gatherings, he couldn’t help but feel for his mother, having to attend it as a single woman amongst all those married couples. When she got full custody of him and Taylor after the divorce, they instantly moved halfway across the country, with him and his sister taking on her last name. Zack hadn’t had any contact with his father’s family ever since then. It was useless dwelling on it, though. Even if he nurtured a small curiosity about getting to know them, they didn’t enjoy an exactly good fame around town.
Shifting his thoughts to more pleasant areas, Zack was reminded of Mrs. Rivera’s scorching hot body in that snug gym outfit earlier and felt his cock slowly hardening as he soaped up himself. “Fuck,” he whispered, unable to resist the urge to wrap his hand around the shaft and tug on it.
“Oh, yeah…,” he began stroking himself in earnest, imagining the older woman doing some sexy yoga routines in front of him, stretching those toned legs and making the fabric almost burst in the chest and bottom areas.
His cock got fully hard in its long, thick shape and Zack felt so much pleasure pumping it up and down to those thoughts. He imagined Susan Rivera in her ice-cream parlor downtown, covering her big tits with ice-cream for him to lick and suck as she took over stroking his throbbing shaft.
“Fuck, Mrs. Rivera, that’s it…” he groaned, his pleasure spiking as he imagined the black-haired woman kneeling down in front of him and engulfing his big hard cock into her warm, wet mouth, looking up at him with those brown eyes. Given how sultry and sexy she always acted, the teenager wondered if she had ever cheated on her husband.
As he increased his stroking pace, Zachary’s mind drifted toward the sole sexual experience of his young life back in Quartz City, the rare bright spot in an otherwise bleak, dark time. A sweet girl in the science club he sometimes frequented, the two of them fucking in the apartment she lived with her family on a weekend after completing homework. He could still remember her slim body hopping up and down on his lap, small tits bouncing as she closed her bespectacled eyes and tried not to moan, only to let out the cutest little whimpers. Her pussy felt so tight around his cock that he thought it was going to break inside her. A bittersweet way to lose his virginity, because he was ready to date her, but then his mother announced they were moving to Azure Rocks in the summer, so Zack figured it would only hurt more if they started a relationship.
“Mmm, fuck…,” his overactive mind shifted back to Susan Rivera as he felt himself get close to the climax, but then a favorite of his made the fantasy about the older woman dissipate as the naughty smirk lowered down in front of him in her place and his crush finally grasped his cock.
“Mmmm, what a big cock you have, Zacky,” the image of Hannah Woodsen, his big sister’s best friend, fully formed a new, fantastically hot fantasy, right there in the shower with him. Complete with her long blonde hair, crystal-blue eyes, and swaying big tits.
“Shit, Hannah…,” he whimpered, stroking himself even faster as he used a hand to brace himself on the tiled wall.
Once Taylor headed to college two years ago, she reunited with the best friend she had kept in touch with through texts and video calls over the years, and then Hannah became a part of his life too whenever she came with Taylor to Quartz City during occasional holidays and breaks. Her family obviously was from Azure Rocks, and Zack was actually friends with her younger sister before the move, but those details couldn’t be farther from his mind as he pleasured himself.
“Oh, yesss…, Hannah, you’re so fucking hot!” He whispered, pumping his cock in tandem with Fantasy Hannah sucking him into her experienced mouth and bobbing up and down. The 21-year-old pulled back and swirled her tongue around his tip as Zachary felt his legs go weak.
“I’m gonna cum…, gonna fucking cum…,” Zack whimpered, and then, just as he imagined Hannah wrapping her bountiful breasts around his hard cock, it throbbed and twitched moments before it started spurting. The young man let out a long groan as ropes and ropes of his hot cum burst forth from his cockhead and painted the dark-blue tiles white. “Oh, shit…,” he released a long breath, eyes landing on the big mess he made.
“Fucking hell…, at least I’m already in the shower.”
Later that day, as the sun was almost starting to set over Azure Rocks, Zachary put on a blue button-up shirt, jeans, and sneakers, and headed out of his house. On the street, he waved at the adults putting up tables and chairs and walked next door to the McRoses’ house. Ringing the doorbell, he waited for a few seconds and it finally opened, revealing none other than his best friend.
“Hey, Chlo,” he greeted with a big smile.
A smile that was mirrored in the young woman’s face as she gave him a quick hug. “Hey! We just got here,” Chloe McRose said, stepping out onto her porch and seeing the commotion outside. “Mom tried to tell them it wasn’t needed, but Mrs. White just said it was nonsense.”
“Yeah,” Zack chuckled. “They were just looking for an excuse, but well, I don’t know about you, but I love her cooking.”
Chloe let out a laugh of her own, her long red hair tied into a ponytail down her upper back as she scrunched her sky-blue eyes. “Oh, that goes without saying.”
It was great seeing Chloe again and just being near her. After being apart for seven years, with only texts and video calls to go by, they only had a week to reconnect before she had to go on a family trip herself. She had an athletic build due to all the soccer she played, but something Zachary had noticed during their video calls over the years and then again during his first week back, was that Chloe usually wore hoodies or just baggy clothes even in warmer weathers, such as right now. He thought about asking her, but being a girl, he figured it could be something she didn’t want to talk about. On the other hand, as her best friend, he asked himself if it wasn’t his duty to find out if there was something wrong with her.
“So, what did you do while I was out?” Chloe inquired, the light from the lamppost illuminating the faint dust trail of freckles on her milky face as they sat down on the swing chair.
He shrugged, giving her a small smile. “Not much, I guess. Got to know the neighborhood better, but other than that, I just read and played games.”
She playfully rolled her eyes at that. “You, sir, gotta play a sport and shake those old bones a bit. Just jogging and working out twice a month isn’t gonna work for you.”
“I know, okay,” he laughed. “When school starts, I promise I’ll see if the basketball team has an opening,” he told her before a teasing grin curled up his lips. “And don’t mock me, lady, you’re older than me.”
“Shut up, Zack,” she elbowed him with a laugh.
It was true, Chloe would actually have her nineteenth birthday just over a month after school started, around Homecoming. Back when they were kids, her mother had seen how close the two of them were and decided to wait a year to enroll Chloe in school, just so she could be in the same grade as her friend Zachary.
“About school teams, I forgot to ask, do they have a male soccer team?” He inquired, a curious eyebrow raised.
“Sadly, no. You know it’s not too popular between the boys yet, if it’ll ever be,” she replied with a sympathetic smile. “There’s a few guys who try to form one every year, though. Maybe you can talk to them if you’re really into the idea.”
“Yeah, maybe,” he shrugged.
“Hey, guys,” a well-built young man with short black hair and brown eyes walked up to them, leaning against the porch of the McRoses’ house.
“Hey, Brandon. What’s up?” Zack greeted, a friendly look on his face.
“Nothing much,” the other boy replied. “My mom’s bringing some food and asked me to see how they were doing with the tables, see if I could help somehow.”
“Oh, Mrs. Austen is joining in too?” Chloe inquired, and Brandon nodded affirmatively, pleased with himself.
“Well, between your mother and Mrs. White’s cooking, this little party is getting more and more interesting,” Zachary grinned.
“I know,” the black-haired boy laughed.
Brandon Cole lived in the street that led down to the cul-de-sac and Zack had met him a few times since his return, besides remembering the boy from when they were kids. They played together back then, his twin sister too, but the Cole siblings weren’t as close to him as Chloe. His mother owned a restaurant in town, and Zack and Monica had gone there a few times, loving the food and the ambience.
“Did you and the guys play football today?” Zack asked, knowing that Brandon was on the football team at school and was keeping in shape with the help of his teammates over the summer.
“Oh, no, that was yesterday,” the strong guy lightly winced. “Thank God for that, I’m still a bit sore from all the tackles.”
“You’ll do great, just don’t overthink it too much,” Zachary advised.
“Yeah, this starter quarterback thing has been getting me a bit nervous,” Brandon said. The previous starter quarterback had graduated, and in the upcoming year, the responsibility to lead the team would fall on his shoulders.
“I’ve been trying to convince Zack to try out for a team when school starts,” Chloe commented.
“It’d be good for you, Zack, if you don’t have any other plans. Fills up your time pretty well,” Brandon said before letting out a chuckle. “No offense, though, you don’t have much of a football build.”
“That’s okay,” Zack smiled. “I was thinking about basketball, anyway. Or soccer if they can build up a team.”
“Hmm,” Brandon nodded with a pensive look. “I think I heard something about the basketball team having a few openings this year. Go talk to Kevin Jackson when school starts, he’s probably gonna be the new captain,” he instructed. “Or if you want, I can ask my friend Trent to send Kevin here one of these days. They’re cousins.”
“Nah, don’t bother them. I haven’t decided yet,” Zack explained. “Thanks, though.”
“Suit yourself, man,” Brandon grinned and then his eyes briefly widened at a sight coming down the street. “Oh, there’s my mom. See you guys later!”
While Zack and Chloe watched the other boy run toward a youthful woman with wavy dark hair and take the box from her hands, the door to the redhead’s house opened and another woman stepped out, basically vibrating in happiness at the sight of her daughter and her best friend together in the swing chair.
“Oh, you two look so cute!” Charlotte McRose gushed, her almost exaggeratedly large chest bouncing under the dark-red summer dress. She pulled out her phone. “Let me take a picture!”
“Mom!” Chloe groaned, trying to hide her face, while Zachary just scratched the back of his head, nervously. His mother was the same way when it came to him and Chloe. They just couldn’t understand they saw each other as siblings, even if he recognized that Chloe had gotten pretty during his years away.
“Hi, Charlotte,” the young man smiled, jumping to his feet after the woman took the photo. He called her by her first name because she had already drilled into him that she didn’t want any ‘Mrs. McRose’ nonsense, being only a year older than Zack’s mother. She had long, slightly wavy red hair, sky-blue eyes identical to Chloe’s, and well, the aforementioned pronounced chest, which he valiantly avoided staring at. A hard feat since the creamy, freckled flesh was all but spilling out from her summer dress.
“Oh, Zack, dear, we missed you!” She said, and he hoped with all his might that the older woman didn’t pull him for a hug, even if another part of him did want that to happen. “We’re so sorry for taking Chloe away from you so soon after you came back, but this trip had been scheduled for months.”
He let out a chuckle, glancing at the mortified Chloe. “No worries, Charlotte,” he said. “I used the time to get to know the neighborhood.”
“That’s good, sweetie,” she beamed at him. “Don't you want to stay a little longer?”
“Uhn…, I kinda have a few things to do at home before the party,” he responded. “I just came to see Chloe.”
“Of course, dear,” the older woman nodded with a big smile.
Zachary waved at the two redheads and missed whatever the mother said to the daughter as he walked the short way back to his house. Entering the home, he made his way straight to the kitchen, feeling a bit parched. The sight that greeted him was of a tight, toned butt hugged by a snug pair of jeans, attached to a person who was slightly leaning over the counter. A dark-brown ponytail hung down the girl’s upper back. Zack allowed himself a millisecond before averting his eyes and walking past his older sister to get a glass in the cupboard.
“Hey, Tay.”
“Oh, hey, Zack,” the 21-year-old briefly tore her icy-blue eyes from the screen of her laptop to acknowledge her little brother. “Are they still putting up stuff?”
“Yeah, I think it's gonna take a little while yet,” he responded, filling up the glass. “Uhn…, is Hannah coming?”
Taylor Bishop giggled in amusement. Her brother could be so obvious in his crush. It was a good thing that she laid down the law to Hannah that Zack was off-limits. “No, the Woodsens left on a trip earlier.”
“Oh, yeah, Ashley mentioned it to me the other day,” Zack recalled before gulping down the refreshing water.
Taylor straightened up, the black tank top hugging her medium-sized chest. She always had a slender, tall build, maybe even statuesque, the kind of body a model would have, even if all she did to maintain it was jogging and yoga, with the occasional working out.
“You hitting the party later?” Zack inquired as he washed the glass he used.
“Maybe,” she shrugged in her peculiar raspy voice. “I might go check it out and hang with you and your friends for a bit, but there’s no one my age in our neighborhood.”
“Oh, alright, then” Zachary took a long breath and straightened his back as well. “Well, I’m gonna go read a few pages of my novel and wait for the time. I’ll be down in my room if you need me.”
“‘Kay,” she nodded with a smile and then went back to pour over her summer studies for college.
Zack smiled as he observed his sister for a moment. She was a pre-med student at Winter Lake College, in the town of Cyan Pines, a few hours to the northeast of Azure Rocks. With the excellent grades she always had, one could wonder why Taylor would busy herself with studying during the summer, but that was one of the reasons behind longstanding school success, she always threw herself into it.
That diligence and sense of responsibility had always inspired him to try and do the same.
