Visions of aid (Yura POV)

Yura sits down at the breakfast table, distracted. She woke up to a vision, and she is still piecing it together. Unusually, her vision came from the viewpoint of a person, rather than a detached point. So lost in thought was she that she didn’t notice anyone else at the table until Rachel spoke.

“Yura, you seem a little bit lost. Are you ok?”

Yura looks up to see Rachel, Anna, and Elys watching her with concern. “It is fine. I had a premonition this morning, and it is confusing.”

Anna smiles and hands Yura a hot cup of tea. “Will it help to talk about it? I know we’re all worried about master.”

Yura nods. “Maybe you can make sense of it. It is strange. I saw through someone else’s eyes. They were watching from a doorway in a city as a group approached. I sensed anxiety and fear, but not fear of the group. As the person becomes to the group, I saw their hands. They looked human, but for a second they seemed to shimmer translucent blue. The group approaches, and I was able to recognize Josh, just as the vision collapsed.”

Yura sighs, shaking her head. “It did not feel like a warning, or danger. Just a strange vision.”

Elys nods. “It sssoundsss like you’re ssseing sssomething that will happen in the capital when Josh triesss to attack. But you sssay it ssseemed like there wasss no danger?”

Yura shakes her head. “Not from the person, no, although I sensed danger in general.”

Yura rarely explained how her visions worked. Strong emotions tended to draw them out, especially from people she cared about. She had witnessed the whole interaction between Josh and Samara in the woods, simply because of the Lilim’s burst of emotion. In contrast, her own emotions could deaden her receptivity to the visions, and so she kept herself on a tight rein at most times. Her discipline had a tendency to crack around Josh, of course…

Rachel smiles. “It sounds like there’s no reason to worry. This person seems like an ally, and they’re going to aid Josh. Did you get anything else?”

Yura shrugs. “Just a name. Hana.”

Elys nods. “Probably the name of whoever thisss mysssterious helper isss.”

Anna smiles. “Not much we can do about it from here, but nice to know anyway. We can interrogate master about this ‘Hana’ when we see him again!”
