Who answers the Door?

Vicky opens the Door.

(Made with the help of Deep Realms Magni 4.0 (Medium) AI)

The door swung open, and Larry's eyes widened in shock as a gorgeous redhead model stood before him, flashing a bright, toothy smile. She was dressed in a pink frilly blouse and loose-fitting sweats, her long, luxurious hair tied up in a ponytail with a matching pink bow. Larry's jaw dropped as he struggled to comprehend the drastic transformation of the infamous babysitter, Vicky. He had expected a snarling, green t-shirt clad monster, not a stunning beauty who looked like she just stepped off the cover of a fashion magazine.

"Hi there!" Vicky chimed, her voice like music, as she took the pizza from Larry's hands.

Vicky's smile never wavered as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small wad of cash. "How much do I owe you, handsome?" she asked, her voice dripping with sweetness. Larry's eyes widened as he struggled to process the drastic change in Vicky's demeanor. He stuttered out the total, "T-t-that'll be $19.99 please." Vicky's laughter was like music as she handed him a $20 bill. "Keep the change, sweetie," she said, winking at him.

As Larry took the bill, his fingers brushed against Vicky's, sending a spark of electricity through his body.

As Larry stood there, frozen in awe, Vicky's smile never wavered. She gave him a playful wink and said, "Thanks! Enjoy the rest of your night!" before closing the door, leaving Larry to stumble backward down the porch steps, still clutching the $20 bill. He couldn't shake the feeling that he had just been bewitched by the former evil babysitter.

"What the hell!" Larry proclaims when he finally snapped out of his stupor and for a moment struggles to find his phone and quickly dialed a number.

"Hello, you are calling Mike E. Mozzarella's Pizza Fun House™ and Pizza Delive…" the bored and droning voice of Bob came out of the speaker. "BOB!" Larry yelled into the phone. "YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED!"

"Jeez Larry! Lower your voice mate, I think the neighbors can hear you across town."

"Sorry, sorry. I am having a feeling that I just walked right into an Episode of the Twilight Zone." Larry said as he slowly walked back to his delivery bike.

"What happened?" Bob asked, worry slightly creeping into his voice. "Did that Bitch from Hell make up some claim that you were late and she doesn’t have to pay for the pizza? She tried that with me a couple of times when I was the Delivery Boy."

"No! I not sure what happen! I arrived at the Turner Residence and I was expecting the wicked bitch of the west to answer the door, but instead of Vicky there was this gorgeous redheaded bombshell of a babe who look like Vicky but she doesn’t have Vicky's looks or personality." Larry explained, while grabbing his hair, trying to make sense of the situation. "It is like if Vicky never fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down! Please tell me if you know that Vicky has a twin sister? But who is like the complete opposite of an evil twin? Or a cousin around her exact age?"

"If Vicky had a twin, I would have left Dimmsdale years ago, the mere idea of that there are two of them would be enough to make anyone sane to leave the city and turn Dimmsdale into a ghost town overnight." Bob said with a small tremble in his voice as the mere thought of there being two Vickys is enough to send a wave of ice-cold shivers down his spine. "And I not all too familiar with her family, but I do know she has a younger sister who is consider to be the ugliest, nerdiest girl in town."

"This is crazy, insane, you have to believe me Bob, I not making this up" Larry pleads to Bob, hoping that Bob would believe him and that he was not hallucinating. "I am grasping at straws here to make sense of all of this!"

"I would have called you crazy...." Bob said in a deadly serious tone and Larry felt his heart fall. "But considering that I had Vicky on the phone, and while it sounded like her, but the tone and the way she was talking was completely different and she was acting like we were old friends. If You are crazy, then I am as crazy as you." That calmed down Larry enough, Bob believed him and even he noticed that something weird was going on.

"What should we do?" Larry asked Bob, hoping that his older colleague has a plan.

"I think I am going to make some phone calls, asking around if someone else also noticed this change." Bob said as he thinks who to call. "I might even ask my aunt Angusina, she might be the biggest nosiest blabbermouth in Dimmsdale, but she knows every single bit of the juiciest gossip and rumors in town. If anyone knows what might be going on than it will be her."

"Ok. Sounds like a plan." Larry sighed in relief, at least there is a plan, of a sort. "I’m coming back to the Restaurant; I also know a few people we can call and ask what is going on."

Larry ended the call and climbed on his bike; he takes one last look at the Turner Residence. "I don’t know what is going on here, but whoever Vicky is babysitting right now must be either in hell or in paradise." Larry mutter to himself, before pushing his feet down on the pedals of his bike and ride all the way back to Mike E. Mozzarella's Pizza Fun House™.
