Vasilii Sirotkin the Father-in-law

You are Vasilii Sirotkin, a well-to-do farmer in the village of Plakhino, Russia. The year is 1850, and you are 50 years old. You have two sons and one daughter. You are a very strict father, and your children live in fear of you.

One day, you decide it is time to find a wife for your 12-year-old son, Nicolai. This would not only bring an extra pair of hands to the farm but also, in your mind, provide you with a young mistress during Nicolai's minority.
