Vanessa "arrives"

"Oh, this would look absolutely wonderful on you, Sweetie!" Michelle cooed as she held up a pink, ruffled dress with a picture of a teddy bear holding a flower on the front.

Lauren could only whimper as she saw the younger woman place the horrible abomination into the cart, her cheeks burning in humiliation. Suddenly, both women were taken by surprise when they heard a voice call out to them.

"Michelle? Michelle, is that you?!"

Both women turned to see a Vanessa walking up to them with a smile on her face. Michelle smiled back, happy to see a familiar face as she waved to her friend.

Lauren, on the other hand, was having a full blown panic attack. What was Vanessa doing here?! As if being out at the mall in only a makeshift diaper wasn't humiliating enough, now her sister was about to see her like this?! She would never live this down!

"Vanessa, what are you doing here?" Michelle asked.

"I was out browsing around the mall when I thought I saw you walking into Little Piggy's. I just thought that I'd come say hello." Vanessa lied, giving off a toothy grin before "noticing" the diapered Lauren in the shopping cart, causing the little woman to turn neon red in embarrassment. "Aww, and who's this little cutie?"

Lauren averted her gaze but started to calm down for a bit. Did... Did Vanessa not recognize her? Did she actually think that she was a little kid? Lauren wasn't sure if being mistaken or being recognized was the worst case scenario, but she decided to use this to her advantage. If she acted like a little kid, maybe her sister wouldn't catch on about who she really was. After all, if Vanessa knew who she really was, then who knew how she would make this worse for Lauren?

Little did Lauren realize that it was far to late for that, and Vanessa knew exactly who she was looking at...

"Oh, this is Lana Howards." Michelle said as she introduced Lauren, unintentionally using the fake name that Vanessa gave her. "She's my new charge for tonight. Say hello to Ms. Vanessa, Lana."

"H-hello..." Lauren greeted in the most childish voice she could come up with, hoping to keep her identity a secret... And not realizing that it was all for naught.

"You are just so cute!" Vanessa said in over exaggerated baby talk. She briefly tickled Lauren's paunch, giving a small smirk as she made a note of her sisters giggling. She then gasped as an idea "popped" into her head. "I have an idea! Why don't I help you babysit this one?"

Lauren's eyes widened as her stomach dropped. No... No, the universe wouldn't be that cruel!

"I don't know..." Michelle said, a little uneasily. "You won't even babysit your cousin when your Aunt Helen comes to visit."

"Please?" Vanessa asked, pretending to beg. "Let me help watch her. You can have all the money her mother is paying you. And besides," she gave a sly smirk to Lauren, "this one looks like a mischief maker."

"Well..." Michelle said, tapping her chin in thought. "I did find her playing dress up with all her mom's clothing."

Lauren gulped in terror as Michelle seemed to be considering this. After a few moments, Michelle shrugged her shoulders and said, "What the heck? It sounds like it could be a lot of fun!"

Lauren could only let out a small whimper as both Michelle and Vanessa left the dress department and headed towards the check out.
