Vanessa, royal maid: First meeting

The throne room was occupied by various nobles, who were called here to witness the King's moment. Because of that, there were more servants, making sure that the nobles were entertained. There were also more guards than usual.

I silently purred wine into the noble's cup and stepped back, as it was required of me.

Suddenly, the doors opened - all heads turned to look. All of those present were here just for one thing - to take a look at the person, who would bring prestige to the kingdom. For a summoned hero would become the kingdom's main resource and would make the kingdom prosper.

Curious, I also turned to look at... him.

The man was good looking, but besides that, he was rather... undescriptive... common, even.

He walked in, looking around... then he stopped in front of the thrones, then bowed to King and Queen. His bow made me cringe... it was not the way one bowed to royalty. The murmur from nobles showed that it was noticed.

I purred **** to another noble... as I noticed the raised glass.

'I wonder,' I thought to myself, as the hero was taken out of the chamber, and the king started his speech. 'What the Hero is like?'
