What race would you like more info on?
Vampires
The origins of the vampire race are not fully known. During the Great Magic War, many people experimented with darker magics. Some of this succeeded-some of it did not.
Rumor has it that the vampires were the result of one of these experiments gone wrong. Which one or the details to recreate it seem to have been lost to time, as has much of the Great Magic War and the era before it.
Physically, vampires do not vary much from humans. Their physical sizes and sexual features are the same. They have pale skin most of the time, and distinctly visible fangs. They also have bat wings sprouting from their backs, although they can retract them, making them easier to hide.
However when it comes to magic, vampires are more like elves-they are more attune and skilled with magic than humans, particularly in the darker areas and skills. They are also physically stronger and faster than humans, although not by much. It is a gap than can easily be closed by the more skilled warriors of humanity.
It is also to take note that vampires are stronger in the night. When the sun sets, vampires grow greatly in physical strength and speed, as well as magical strength. They also gain a regenerative factor that can heal most cuts within a few minutes (although it cannot repair limbs).
The largest difference between vampires and other races are their mind-sets and needs. Such a thing as a kind vampire is unheard of. Vampires can be loyal and even dedicated to their friends. But they hold neutral parties in no respect-they have little care or empathy for the innocents, and those they see as beneath them.
This combined with their taste for blood makes vampires often considered to be cruel. Yes, taste for blood. For many vampires, blood is a delicacy. Although they only need it once a month, And can have regular food the rest of the time, it is something they like to delight on whenever they can. It is unknown whether this is for the taste, or for the minute amounts of magical power they absorb when they drink it.
