VC Day 3 - Look

You open your eyes to find... a total stranger in front of you.

She's a demon, like Demi... maybe not quite as cute, but pretty. Instead of red, her skin is bubblegum pink. She has white, curly horns, and long, blonde hair. She wears a light summer dress, big hat, and huge sunglasses. Her sandals are cute, and her nails and toenails are perfectly done.

She is looking down at you, lying there naked with a huge boner.

"Hi," you say.

"You must be Demi's new wife," she says.

"Who are you?" you ask.

"I'm Annie." She points at one of the few houses that you can see from your property. "I'm Demi's neighbor."

OK, you are embarrassed... but you have to act cool. You pretend like the whole naked erection thing is not a big deal and just try to talk normally.

"Nice to meet you, Annie. I'm Riley."

"I heard Demi had captured a human," she says. "I guess that's her only way to move up in the world."

"Well, she married me," you say. Not exactly captured. There was some tricking involved, though.

"Can't blame her," Annie says arrogantly, looking around and making a face. "Not that it matters. There's no help for this old place."

"What do you mean?"

"Look at this pool. Could you even throw a party here?" She gestures at the other two loungers. "And I've seen Demi's dining room. What does it seat? Twenty?" Annie puts her hand by her mouth and laughs. "Ohoho. Sad. It's a good thing you're here. Maybe you can help her be more respectable."

"Umm..." you say.

"And the garden," she goes on. "What are those? Sex orchids? That is so 2019. And I heard she's knocked up. Yours?"

"Uh, I hope so," you say.

"She only gets half pay on maternity leave." Annie puts on a face of mock sympathy. "Being poor sucks. Come over sometime. You know, if you want to see what a real succubus' house looks like."

She leavese, strolling off down the hill back toward her house.

Uneasy, you wait until she's gone, then go inside and put on some clothes. You find Tari in the living room, wearing nothing but a robe... which is open as she lounges on the sofa, flipping through a magazine.

"Was that Annie?" she asks without looking up.

"Yes," you say. "How'd you know?"

"Smelled her."

"She seemed kind of rude. What's her deal?" you ask, sitting down on the other couch. She talked like this place was poor... it seems pretty rich to you. The pool outside isn't big, but it's nice... what does Annie think you need? Like an Olympic sized one?

"Her family's rich," Tari says, looking up at you. She sees you trying not to look and smirks, closing her robe. "They got that way with a human. He had a lot of energy to give. But even though they were rich, it didn't work for Annie. She and Demi went to school together. They didn't get along."

Oh... so that's what's going on.

"So I shouldn't worry about her?" you say.

"No, you should definitely worry. She's next in line to run the 336 Succubus Office."

"So?"

"That would make her Demi's boss," Tari says. "Don't tell Demi about anything Annie does. Demi's job is hard right now, especially pregnant."

"She doesn't act like it's hard," you say.

"Of course she doesn't. She doesn't want you to worry about her."

Hmm...
