Tension was rising, I needed to make a choice.
Use Bekham to leave the stranger
Thankful for my professor for interjecting, and eager to show him that he's the real authority there, I moved away from the stranger.
"I am sorry sir, this guy just started dancing with me and I couldn't do anything about it."
Bekham's face immediately turned sour, wanting to put the guy in his place.
"You better move away from the dance floor. If I ever see you here again you'll have to deal with something that you won't like."
His forceful, strong threat had the desired effect on the harasser, who nodded and moved away immediately, not willing to find out what that threat entitled.
Bekham placed his hand on my shoulder, looking me in the eyes.
"Are you okay?"
I nodded with a small smile. It felt good being defended like that.
