Up in the air

“I think I need to put in a requistion for new equipment, too,” IQ said to herself as she felt the rope tug dig into her side. IQ continued to scale the side of the building, hopping between the barricaded windows for a few minutes before she got to the window of the room Ash had ordered her to inspect.

IQ activated her wrist device, and moved it around in front of her.

“Hmm. Not seeing anything on the screen.”

When IQ was done scanning the room that lay beyond the window, she closed her device, and attempted to hail Ash on the radio.

“Ash, I’m at the room, but I’m not picking anything up, do you copy?”

Nothing but static.

“Ash, do you read me?”

There was still no reply.

“Might as well breach, then,” IQ said. She took a deep breath, then used her rope to gain enough momentum to break through the barricade.

The wooden planks flew out into the room as IQ burst through. In addition to the sound of broken wood, a snapping and whooshing could be heard.

“Eh?” IQ said as she felt her legs grow cold. She looked down and saw that her jeans were now on the ground. Her blue panties with cartoon sausages and bratwurst were now fully exposed.

She squealed, and tried pulling her pants up, only to find that the waistband and some of the belt notches of her pants had been ripped apart, and the rope that had been attached was nowhere to be seen.

She groaned as her pants refused to stay put.

“Great, there’s no bombs here, either,” she said, holding up her pants as she started to look around the room.
