Chapter 80 by AwesomePossum AwesomePossum

What's next?

Unprepared and Disappointed.

Vi ended up spending most of the rest of her day fast asleep. I brought her some takeout and we munched on that together as she debriefed me and Ari about her photo shoot. Interestingly, she neglected to tell Ari about the “surprise outfit.”

Now, I find myself in Mrs. Revers’ class, struggling to keep my eyes open. She's wearing a fairly thick coat, which kind of blocks any interesting view of her body, the classroom is insanely cold.

Students start to rise, and I move to imitate them. Class finally over. I'm looking forward to a well-earned nap after this long (one-hour) class.

"Mr. Doe!"

I and a few other students turn. Mrs. Revers is smiling sweetly at me. She crooks a finger.

"A word?"

I excuse myself and push past the other students, some of them grinning, picking up the slight undertone of annoyance in Mrs. Revers’ voice, others glaring as I get some private one-on-one time with the teacher of everyone's desires.

She sits down behind the desk and gives me a completely unimpressed look. She taps a pen onto her notebook.

"Mr. Doe, I must admit I'm disappointed I haven't heard from you based on our last conversation. I expected you to show a bit more initiative after I offered you the grace of personal tutelage."

I shift awkwardly, the air icy between us.

"Shit, sorry Mrs. Revers... I assumed you would be contacting me first when you were free..."

She crosses her arms under her ample chest. "I'm not the one that requires tutoring."

Her glare is cold. "I'm available now for a few minutes. Are you still interested?"

I nod and pull up a chair after she gestures for me to sit.

It's a rough half hour. Mrs. Revers is blunt and straightforward, making her frustrations and disappointment in my lack of preparation and seeming lack of knowledge of her class, very clear. On top of it all, my monkey brain can't help but get distracted by the sharp and shapely features of the woman that shifts in front of me. I meet her gaze and can’t help but notice the faintest of smirks, judging and amused by watching me squirm.

"Focus," she says sharply, seemingly able to sense the flicker of my eyes away from the paper toward her ample chest.
"You're too easily distracted."

My ears burn and I mumble out an apology.

"I hope you weren't under the impression that tutoring would be me giving you a leg up," she says matter-of-factly.
"Quite the opposite. I'm going to ensure that you are taught to the best of my ability, using any means necessary."

I answer with a muted nod, knowing that any words that come out of my mouth now would be nervous and pathetic.

The brutal session wraps up, but I do notice that a function I was having trouble with does seem to make a bit more sense.

"Mr. Doe, I'll be bringing in another student from another class to join you and me in these tutoring sessions. I find young men like yourself perform better when there's some sort of competition and incentive."

She turns slightly to her laptop and types something into her calendar.

"Do prepare yourself. You're dismissed."
She waves two fingers toward the door.

"Thank you, Mrs. Revers. I'll be more prepared."

I thank her nervously as I quickly squish my belongings into my backpack and leave her office—
Not without taking one quick glance at the way her ample chest is hugged by the fabric of her shirt.
