How does the rest of the week go?
Uneventful
The school week went by as most did. Jordan and Sam half paying attention in class, doing well enough to get by, and not really caring for the material being taught. After school, their paths diverge. Jordan spends her afternoons after school at cheerleading practice while Sam spends hers with stoners getting high. Once cheerleading practice is over, Sam usually makes her way to Jordan's house. The rest of the evening is spent doing some homework, watching Netflix, and chatting about various topics. On Thursday, the discussion eventually lands on the subject of their plans for the weekend.
"You know none of the people there want me to be there, especially not Abby," Sam said, scoffing at the invite to go to a party with Jordan and the popular crowd. "Come with me, and party in a judgment-free zone; I promise it'll be a lot more fun. I'm always telling you that Jared's parties are absolute ragers."
The most significant source of conflict in their friendship came when deciding who to hang out with and party with on the weekends. Often they found themselves apart on the weekends, partying with their respected friend groups instead of with each other. This didn't stop either one from trying to convince the other to join them.
"Yeah, but you know what they'll think if I'm not partying with the girls; I don't need Abby causing any problems," Jordan replied. Part of her wanted to spend the weekend with Sam and her group of friends, and the other half didn't want to upset Abby, the head cheerleader, and the other girls.
"I get it, but I'm not going to Abby's, so it's up to you who you want to hang out with," Sam said firmly.
