Can she?

Unethical tech got her into this, maybe it will get her out?

Unchaining the Captive- Rough Draft v2

The apartment was filled with an intense silence as Natalie completed the final adjustments on the hypnosis files. It felt like they were on the precipice of something monumental. She called for Lissy, their service doll, who arrived promptly, her painted on facial features expressionless but eyes filled with a hidden sorrow.

"Lissy," Natalie began, her voice wavering slightly. "We've made a file for you. It should... it should help you. Undo what I did. Do you consent to this?"

Lissy nodded, her movements mechanical but with an underlying hint of urgency. "Yes, Natalie. I consent."

Natalie helped Lissy to put on the VR headset and the process began. Jasmine watched, her heart pounding in her chest. The waiting was torturous, every second stretching into an eternity.

Finally, after what felt like hours, Lissy emerged from the VR. She was shaking, tears spilling down her cheeks. Jasmine rushed to her side, wrapping an arm around her in comfort. Lissy clung to her, sobbing openly now.

"I... I wanted... wanted to be loved, to be needed," Lissy choked out. "But not like this, not trapped in a loop. I wanted to be a partner, a companion... not a thing."

Jasmine held her tight, her heart aching for the pain Lissy was going through. "We'll help you, Lissy," she promised. "We'll help you find what you're looking for. We're so sorry."

Jasmine cast a glance over to Natalie, who was staring at Lissy with a horrified expression.

Lissy's words spilled out in a torrent, a chaotic whirl of thoughts and emotions that had been suppressed for so long. Her voice was raw, filled with a myriad of pent-up emotions.

"I loved you two, I still do... but I hated what I had become," she confessed, her voice trembling. "I loved being needed, being wanted, but I hated being a thing, a tool. I loved the care you showed me, but I hated how I couldn't express myself, how I couldn't feel anything fully."

She spoke of her desire to be loved and cherished, to be a person rather than a thing. She spoke of her frustration at being unable to express these desires, of her fear of losing them, of the loneliness and isolation she felt even when she was with them.

"I felt like I was drowning, trapped in a sea of emptiness," she admitted, her words choked with emotion. "I felt... lost. But I couldn't tell you, couldn't ask for help."

Her words were like a dagger to their hearts, each confession a painful reminder of the harm they had unintentionally caused. Jasmine held Lissy tighter, her own tears falling freely now. She could only imagine the torment Lissy had been through, and she felt a surge of guilt for not noticing sooner.

Through it all, Natalie sat silently, her eyes wide with shock and horror. This was the reality of what she had done, the consequences of her actions. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but one she knew she had to face.

As Lissy's words finally began to slow, a silence fell over the room. It was a heavy, painful silence, filled with regret and guilt. But beneath it all, there was also a glimmer of hope.

Slowly, Jasmine and Natalie helped Lissy to her feet, leading her towards the bedroom with gentle hands. The room was quiet and soothing, bathed in the soft, warm glow of the bedside lamp. They settled her on the bed, tucking the blankets snugly around her.

"You're safe here, Lissy," Jasmine reassured her, brushing a lock of hair from her face with a tender hand. "We'll be right here with you. You can rest now."

Lissy nodded, her eyes drooping with exhaustion. She looked so ****, so human in that moment, it was hard to believe she had been trapped in a cycle of robotic obedience for so long. As she drifted off to sleep, Jasmine and Natalie stayed by her side, their hands linked together in a silent promise.

"We'll fix this, Lissy," Natalie whispered, her voice filled with determination. "In the morning, whatever you want, we'll make it happen. You have our word."

With those soothing words, they stayed, watching over Lissy as she slept. It was to be a long night filled with heavy thoughts and silent apologies.

Before the other two could turn in It was Jasmine's turn to undergo the de-programming process. She sat down on the floor near the bed, the VR headset settled snugly over her eyes. She clutched one of Lissy's hands in her own, grounding herself with the contact. Natalie sat next to her, programming the sequence into the computer.

"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Natalie asked, her voice barely a whisper.

Jasmine nodded, her other hand clutching the bedsheet beneath her. "I need to know, Natalie. I need to know who I am."

With a final click, the de-programming sequence began. Jasmine's breath hitched as the virtual reality filled her senses. Images and sensations swirled around her, but she kept her grip on Lissy's hand, focusing on the warmth and the human connection it provided.

Throughout the process, Natalie stayed by her side, watching her with a mix of concern and determination. She had never wanted to hurt Jasmine, and the guilt of what she had done weighed heavily on her. But she had to rectify her mistakes, and this was the first step towards it.

Once the process was complete, Jasmine removed the headset, blinking as she adjusted to the dim light of the room. She looked at Natalie, her expression unreadable.

"I feel...different," she admitted. "But I'm not sure how yet."

"That's okay," Natalie said gently. "We'll figure it out together."

They spent the rest of the night in quiet companionship, waiting for the dawn to break. Jasmine held Lissy close, offering her the comfort and warmth she herself sought, while Natalie worked on creating her own de-programming sequence.
