Understanding the Position she is now in

Christina opened her eyes, rubbed them a little and yawned as she slowly came round from the deep trance she had been placed into.

"How do you feel?" Dr Darke asked the sleepy girl as she regained her bearings.

Christina thought for a moment before she spoke.

"Pretty good." She smiled, suddenly looking genuinely impressed "I actually feel really calm and relaxed!"

"Good, then my instructions while you were under hypnosis have worked." The doctor smirked knowingly to himself.

"This is amazing! I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders!" Christina enthused - this guy really was as good as people said! "Thank you so much!"

"It's my pleasure" Dr Darke answered calmly, preparing himself for what was coming next. He had never said anything like what he was about to say to anyone before, let alone a client he barely knew, but he wasn't going to deny himself now "From now on you will refer to me as Master."

"What?! Why would I do that, Master?" Christina asked in shock.

She had been taken by surprise twice in a matter of seconds - firstly by the bizarre and completely innapropriate demand and secondly by the fact she had somehow gone along with it. That the word "Master" had slipped out in her response was highly embarassing and undermining for Christina.

"Because that is what I am to you now." Dr Darke smiled in a slightly cruel manner "I did more than just remove your anxiety while you were under."

"But hypnotism doesn't work like that, Master." Christina silently cursed herself as that awful word slipped out again "It isn't that powerful. It isn't a magic spell!"

"You're quite right, hypnotism isn't magic." The doctor nodded in agreement "but I am."

Christina sat and stared at Dr Darke in disbelief at what she was hearing. The doctor could see she still wasn't convinced of his powers, but he knew that would change soon enough.
