Chapter 44
by SingingLark
Is the book lost? Will Liandra try to make ammends?
Underhanded tactics
Liandra knew her father didn't judge her, but she did just cost the kingdom the recovery of a sacred relic. She had to find a way to secure it, she would do anything...
But another opportunity didn't appear during dinner. She was one of the last to leave. Duke Wyeth was still inside, undoubtedly planning to grovel the King's forgiveness. The fool, did he truly believe he could outmaneuver her father?
But maybe that would be a way to get the book. If she acted fast. She didn't need to outdo Kendal, just... what was her name? The blond demonologist. Lilith. Except she didn't know anything about her. Maybe Ophelia did.
The summoner was in her room, but she wasn't alone. Liandra heard hushed whispers, so she held her hand when she was about to knock. She remained very quiet, to eavesdrop.
"Are you sure? we can stop at any time" ... Liandra could still see her naked form, her full breasts and hourglass figure. Her skin was always so soft, and sensitive to touch.
"Yes. I want more" Liandra remembered the willowy Yasmin, the blonde noblewoman Ophelia was flirting with. She had no idea the two were already so advanced in their... intimacy. Liandra remembered the times when it was her tights that were spread, and Ophelia's tongue explored the folds of her womanhood.
"You are doing just fine. I swear I never saw someone learn so quickly, so talented" Never? Liandra felt a pang of jealousy, surely she hadn't been so lousy as to be already forgotten.
A bright shine flashed through the cracks of the door "I did it! It was truly me, wasn't it?" Magic! the two were talking about magic, not sex. Liandra felt very silly, and found strength to knock on the door.
Liandra found the couple down to their negligees, maybe she hadn't been so wrong after all. The situation was embarassing enough, so Liandra quickly explained the situation.
"I suppose... we could summon an Inoculator, Liandra."
"And what would that be?" Liandra had never heard of such a creature.
"It would be the closest to an incubus as I ever found in the divine host. He could seduce her and steal the book"
"Wait. I think it would be best if you sent a female angel" Yasmin said, and blushed when the two others looked at her "Ah, I spoke to her earlier today... she has a very rude tongue. But I think she is more interested in girls" Ophelia was very angry, and Yasmin did her best to try to convince her it wasn't as bad as it sounded.
So send an incubus? or a succubus?
