"I'm not sure what to do. You were right about the hunger I felt. That much I know is true. But I know these people at the agency. They don't kill unnecessarily. I can't believe they'd kill me. They made me." You try to defend the agency, but as you say those words you know they sound as superficial as a brass bell.

Hiro takes you by the hand, and squeezes gently. "What they made, they can easily unmake" he says without batting an eye. "What I offer you is a way to better defend yourself against these twisted abominations, and a way to learn better self control. That offer will always stand open, even if you refuse it right now." He pulls a card from his pocket, and hands it to you. "You don't have to decide right away. But should you feel the urge, call me and I will be there for you. There is much more to you, and about you than the agency knows, or has told you. Perhaps because they do not know themselves. My concern is for you, and not them. I chose to seek you out, to pass along my knowledge, because knowledge is power." He stands up to leave. "It's been an honor to meet you. Take care, and watch your back. Perhaps I will also watch it for you." He then leaves the club through the front doors.

Meanwhile, Jen spots you from the dance floor, and comes running over to you. She sits down, bouncing in her seat. "So, who was that cutie?" she asks with a broad smile.

"Well, his name is Hiro, and he runs a Martial Arts academy here in the city" you answer. You look again at his card. Kyionshi Arts and Training Center is the name of his business.

Jen takes the card amd looks it over. "Interesting name for a Martial Arts center" she comments. "Perhaps we should both sign up for lessons? I mean, with all the strange things happening these days, that training could come in handy. Plus we'd have a very handsome instructor. Will you come with me, if I decide to go?"

You're always concerned about Jen, always checking on her to make sure she's all right. If she took self defense classes, it would help to ease your mind. "Tell you what. Let's enjoy the night, and we'll see what happens tomorrow. maybe we should both go."

Jen bubbles with enthusiasm. "That's great! I know we'll enjoy doing it together. It's something I've always wanted to do, but never had the motivation to do. You realize, you are my motivation, don't you?"

You have to laugh at her. You've never seen her this animated before. "Okay, okay. You talked me into it. We'll go tomorrow, and sign up for lessons."

Jen cups your face gently in her hands, and kisses your lips softly. After she breaks the kiss, you look at her, startled, surprised. she suddenly becomes shy and a little timid. "I just want us to be safe. It's a crazy world out there, and you mean so much to me. I don't know what I'd do if I lost you."

You smile back at her. "Jen, I feel the same way about you. I understand." This time, you take the initiative, and kiss Jen full on the lips. This time, it's deeper and more passionate. Where will it lead to? Who knows? For the moment it feels right, like something you both want.
