Uncertainty

"Well, uhh... I think I'm not ready to commit to anything right now."

"Friends with benefits is fine by me. As I said, it's a lot to take in."

"Yeah."

"Plus, you never know who you might meet, right?"

"True... Anyway, I've got homework I need to do."

"And I've got an empty stomach to fill."

Sila heads off to the living room as I whip up a quick meal for dinner. Once I've eaten, I decide to leave Sila in peace and check out some of the bands Will had recommended. He might've only been a one-night stand, but I'm always on the hunt for some new tunes to jam. After a half-hour of music, I head over to Sila with two White Claws in hand.

"How's the homework going?" I ask.

Her eyes move from her laptop screen to me. "Good."

"This'll make it better." I say, handing her a can.

"Thanks Roxy. I'm done anyway." Sila folds her laptop's screen down and places it on the coffee table.

"Then a drink well earned for hard study."

"Heh. Thanks."

I skull down some sweat liquor, before wrapping my arm around Sila. "So got anything else planned for tonight?"

"Not really. Why's that?"

"Well I was thinking that maybe we could explore the benefits of our relationship?"

"I... I think I'd like that."
