Tying loose ends

Adelaide's world was one of equality, one of progress and tolerance, wherein the injustices of the past were inconcievable. Where centuries of brutal repression and dehumanization of the female gender lead to generations of embittered and vengeful crones warping the minds of the wards under their tutellage. Where one gender would suffer the stripping of rights and the stripping of clothes, while the other would suffer the stripping of one's innocence and sense of reality. Where women and girls would shed their hides and muddy their face, where men and boys would crudely stride into the detached claws of a broken society, where both would fall to their knees like drops of rain in the maelstorm of the ocean's tide.
