Two princesses

Leonor and Sofia stood at the edge of a wide, glimmering plaza, taking in the surreal scene around them. The Park of Pleasure, billed as an “adults-only fantasy resort,” had sounded cheeky and fun online, but the reality was something else entirely. Towering statues of curvy figures, pulsating lights, and speakers piping in sultry music gave the place a dreamlike, decadent vibe. Both sisters glanced at each other, eyebrows raised in silent disbelief.

“I mean… is that woman wearing just a corset and heels?” Sofia asked, nudging Leonor’s arm and nodding toward a giggling group nearby. One of them, a man in shiny latex shorts, offered a flirtatious wave to no one in particular.

Leonor squinted. “Yup. And the guy next to her’s wearing… is that a harness? And a tail?” She let out a half-laugh, half-gasp. “Okay, wow, this is definitely not Disneyland.”

For a few moments, they stood awkwardly, unsure whether to dive into the experience or run the other way. People milled around with confidence, chatting, flirting, and strutting in outfits that belonged in private bedrooms, not public plazas. But the scent of grilled something delicious wafted through the air, grounding them amid the surreal surroundings.

Sofia pointed toward a nearby stall with a neon sign that read “Bites & Delights.” “Let’s just get something to eat first,” she said, her voice light. “We’ll figure out what kind of weird we’re ready for after a burger.” Leonor nodded quickly, grateful for a direction, and the two made their way toward the inviting aroma and sizzling sounds.
