Two finish lines

Two finish lines popped out of the floor of the stage three feet apart from each other. Sadie and Katie looked at the two finished lines and back at Blaineley.

"Which one is the finish line?" Katie asked.

"That one is yours." Blaineley stated point at the one to their right, "and that one is Sadie's." Blaineley finished pointing to the one on the left. "First one to reach their finish line wins, and the loser... well..." Blaineley pulled out the blue liquid again.

The two friends look inwardly at each other worried about having to drink the blue concoction.

'Don't worry Katie," Sadie whispered "since we share the same body we will just both go through our finish lines at the same time, making us both winners. "

'Good idea Sadie, let's do it." Katie responded.

The two girls nodded and took off to their respective finish lines. The converging line of Sadie's white skin and Katie's tan skin stretched about a foot apart before it snapped back causing the two of their heads to smack the back of each other.

"Ow what happened?" Sadie questioned.

"I think the finish lines are too far apart for us both to go through them at the same time." Katie answered while rubbing the back of her head.

"No their not, see!" Sadie started dragging her and Katie towards her finish line, but before she could cross it Katie dragged her away.

"Sadie wait, let me get close to mine first." Katie dragged Sadie's side about a foot before she retaliated.

"Katie stop tugging! I was so close." Sadie tugged them back over to the left but then she felt their right leg pull back. Now it was Katie's turn to retaliate.

"Sadie, let me get near mine first." Katie tried leaning to the right while stretching her arm and leg towards the left most post of her finish line. Right when her line was within reach their upper body sharply tugged her back and started leaning more to the left. "Sadie!!"

"Almost there!" Sadie groaned as she was about to reach the right most pole of her finish line, clearly ignoring her friends comments. But then she was quickly tugged away to the right as Katie tried to lean back towards her goal. "Ugh Katie! what is with you?"

"Me? You're the one not listening, so I decided that we are going through my finish line first." Katie emphasized this point by sharply pulling their body to the right.

"What? No! We should go through mine." Sadie emphasized her point in the same way.

"No, mine!"

"No. MINE!"

"MINE!"

The two repeated back to each other while frantically leaning and pulling themselves left and right while Blaineley watched amusingly.
