Two Swimmers Struggling

It was a long hike/jog down the beach, but it was as picturesque a backdrop to excercise in as any. A beautiful dusk sky, soft coastal breezes, the sound of waves. I didn't even bother bringing anything with me! No shoes, no keys, no phone, no earbuds for music. Just me, the clothes on my back, and a beatiful beach! It was great! I passed about 2-3 dozen other joggers or hikers along the beaches, passing fewer and fewer the further south on the island I went. Overall, by the time I reached the endpoint, I was almost dissapointed to start the hike back.

Normally I'd do a short 20-30 minute swim to cool off before starting back. But, there was no swim today. I couldn't risk it! All these incidents were starting to build a bit of unintended local fame... Fame I didn't want nor ask for. Especially since it involved me being naked! I didn't want another headline, another 11 O'Clock news story about how they saw some random naked woman save a cat from a tree, or rescue someone from a fire. I was lucky that neither my full nudity, or my face was published online as far as I could tell. Every picture or video with my face in it was miraculously blurred by streaks of hair, or movement.

With a long winded sigh, I began to start my walk back, when I suddenly heard a loud yell from out in the ocean. I turned my head to look, and saw two girls swimming in the ocean. One looked to be waving wildly in my direction, while another continued to bob up and down in the waves, her head going under a couple of times. What the two girls were yelling wasn't exactly clear, but it became obvious: the two girls needed help! One of them looked like she was drowning! I started to move almost instantly, when I caught myself. No swimsuit, and I'm wearing a thin tanktop, and form-fitting athletic shorts...
