Chapter 3 by Wikia Wikia

We now have a prompt. What's their story?

Two Friends on a Normal Beach City

Twelve years ago...

Connie had only lived in Beach City for a month and a half. Her parents moved around a lot for job reasons and she didn't have many friends. She found a nice, quiet place on the beach and did her daily reading.

A girl walked by and stopped, noticing what the other girl was doing.

Connie looked up at the person casting a shadow over her, adjusting her glasses.

"Is that the new Familiar-Familiar? I didn't know they published it!"

"Yeah!" A part of Connie felt warm and fuzzy. She doesn't know anyone else who reads Familiar-Familiar.

"I gotta check it out!" Said the other girl. "Have you tried any of the Azura books?"

She pulled out a book from her backpack. It was a hardcover, the creases all over the spine showing that it wasn't a new

"I've never heard of that one. Is it good?"

She gasped.

"It's only the best book ever written! It's got action, drama, romance and a complicated magic system only nerds like me enjoy!"

Connie laughed at the strange girl's enthusiasm.

The other girl corrected herself, blushing a little. She thumbed her hair before reached out her hand.

"I'm Luz. Luz Noceda!"

She accepted the handshake.

"Connie Maheswaren."

Luz's eyes lit up with recognition.

"Wait, do you know anyone at the hospital down on Gem Road?"

"My mom's a doctor there."

"Really? I think she might me my dad's doctor!"

"No way!"

Their conversation moved on from every little thing from their share of literature, to their favorite animals (snakes for Luz, lions for Connie), their favorite colors (purple and pink respectively), their favorite TV shows and everything else they could think of. Eventually, Connie got a text from her parents that it was time to come home and they decided to

That was they day they both made a new friend.

Present Day

There were various pictures, framed and unframed, that covered the wall and some of the nightstand.

Pictures of selfies Connie and Luz took together.

Scraps of old school projects.

Notes of an Azura/Familiar-Familiar crossover fanfiction they never got to writing.

Photos of their junior prom. Neither of them had a date so they went together as friends, though Luz thought it was a good idea to come dressed in a big otter onsie. Connie was a little embarrassed by her best-friend's antics, but overall they all had a good time.

Some kitschy souvenirs from a day they had at Funland. One was a photo taken of the two of them from the Thunder-Bird rollercoaster. Luz's arms were in the air while Connie looked like she was going to throw up. They still had fun.

Pictures of the two of them in the Tunnel of Love. They were crushing hard on each other at the time, but they were both to scared to admit it, though that didn't stop them from holding hands as they endured the ride's atrocious R&B song.

Smiling pictures of Luz and Connie, bi-flag colors painted on their cheeks at the Beach City Pride Parade. Connie's hair was cut shorter than before, having changed it before coming out to her parents. She was nervous when she decided that her parents should know that their daughter had a girlfriend. They were more supportive then she thought they would be, though Priyanka still had reservations towards Luz specifically.

Sleeping on the bed were Luz and Connie all grown up. Luz had serious bed-head, practically drooling with how deeply she slept. Even better, she used Connie's breasts as a pillow, not that Connie minded. Both of them were completely naked, their clothes all over the bedroom carpet.

The night before wasn't their first time. Hell, it wasn't their third. They were grown women, having dated for years. They had graduated only a few months ago and were already signed up for community college for the fall semester. It wasn't very far away, but they had both agreed to move in together once they manage to find a place that fit their combined budget.
