You woke up the next morning, and you immediately felt like you were being watched. You only had to confirm your eyes to know the truth.

"Daniel Martinez," Karen said. She was looking at her phone. After a long minute, she showed you the photos. Photos of you. A different you, from a different time. "I remember you, of course. You dated my sister for awhile, though what she saw in you my family and I couldn't determine. What the fuck happened to you?"

"I ... got sick again. I don't think it's going to have a positive prognosis. To combat it, they had to take away the testosterone treatments and give me estrogen." She snorted, her face screwed up in revulsion ... and something else.

She made you open your phone. You showed her Trevor. You showed her Jackson. You showed her Kasey.
