--Tutorial; Add Character/World --

This one will be short one, but We figured we should bring it up. The Catalog covers a number of worlds, endless really. After all the company's reach is ever expanding but..., we do regret we might not cover EVERYTHING. New worlds are always being found and old worlds being remixed, some lost to time others to chaotic forces that eat realities. And other times they're lost because someone figured it wasn't worth the money... wait a minute getting too Meta.

Point is, while we pride ourselves on our book-keeping sometimes we simply cannot cover everything. Thus, we offer the option of Adding to the Catalog yourself.

Let's get started; go to what you wand to add, either a Character or world, and click on the button.

You'll want to Add Character. Adding a Retinue is better left for more generic/mass captures or otherwise gained followers, at least that's how this Writer believes it to be used for. Both function in a similar way but let's just focus on adding a new character.

Make sure you read the rules if you're going to do this. While you will be adding a character to the site that is a local save, it's probably a good idea to follow them anyway. And look you're reading and or writing on this site, you probably have a good idea what is or isn't allowed when it comes to stuff like this. Also make sure its Local save. This writer doesn't' know what SWP Entry is, and it even says not to click it if you don't know. Thus, moving on.

Above you have everything you might need for a character.

Name is of course thier name.

World Name where they're from, subcategory is useful if they can be sub divided. Such as which Pokemon Region they're from, what season of Digimon, what classification they might have (Defender, attacker, caster, etc) if their setting uses such terms, and more. URLs for of course their images. Double check what URLs work or find some sort of hosting platform yourself, sometimes they don't work or load the way you expect. We suggest Imgchest ourselves (It's what we use for all these images anyway)

So, let's just spin the wheel of current interests and..., Ah. Here we go. There's a recent Mobile game that came out this Author is currently playing on and off, and they seem to be lacking. So, let's just do it like this.

There we go.

The last two factors we need to deal with are Tags and Tier.

Tags are easy; simply put down what they can do or can be defined. Female makes sense, Combatant if they fight, Princess if they're royalty and so on. If you can think of something that might work that isn't provided, you are allowed to make your own tags or check popular user tags (Like Werewolf).

This is how we look for our example character. Tags are useful for finding a character, a shorthand way of keeping track of info or personalities, and other uses from the catalog like Defenses and certain perks (Amazons for example work with Warranty Plan, don't ask us why it just does).

Tier is harder to figure out. In short, it's roughly how strong, powerful, useful, skilled and or impactful a character is on the world around them. Tier doesn't always mean "Planet buster" but to This Author, is simply as a way of denoting 'Scale'. This might not be technically true, but This Author thinks it's a good enough starting point before other factors.

Take a look at the handy Tier Chart under the Rules Section of the Catalog for more examples (You, the Author, and the others on this site probably grade about Tier 1-2 FYI, 3 if you're extremely skilled or talented.) But the actual point isn't to just add them in as a tier X and be done with it, it's to think about where they should go.

Now without Asking on the Discord, the best fast and loose way of figuring out the Tier for your new character is to simply look at other characters. Think of what they can do and find others that do a similar thing, find a similar setting or mechanics to where they are from, and use your head to figure out where they might place in the Tier chart. In our example case, looking at similar games such as Star Rail, Genshin, Arknights, and others gives a decent idea of where to put her. Look she's a mobile game character with a class system for team combat, where else do we look?

Once you're done, hit Add character and remember to make sure you are on Local Save.

And there we go. Orlea is able to be Captured, Possessed, Substituted, or any other kind of way you want to use the character for.

That's about it though we will cover Worlds quickly as it's not as much. Name and Image are self-explanatory. Rating is how dangerous the world can be.

Setting Specific rules is a bit more work. If the world has strange or different rules, they should be listed here (like a world that has MMO like RPG mechcanics complete with Huds should probably be mentioned here) along with anything that would make interacting with a character easier and defining minions/followers. This can be a bit in depth but look at other worlds to compare (if you're adding a Monster collecting world, look at Pokémon/Digimon for ideas).

Condition can be ignored if your world only has one condition, but you can use these for different versions (which version of Scooby Doo for example) or which Arc you appear/join the world in (Again refer to the different arcs/times of My Hero Academia). These will more than likely change the rating depending on how dangerous or safe the world becomes during this condition.

We believe that should be enough to get you started on adding worlds and characters. Remember if you aren't sure, look up examples of other characters and worlds and you should get a rough idea of what you want to give your own added content.
