Turn the wedding party into a real party.

I had a plan.

The plan revolved around the wedding. For one thing, the wedding offered a big opportunity to make things happen if my plan worked out. I would be able to make big moves that gave me everything I wanted, both monetarily and sexually. I could come out on top in everything.

However, the wedding was also a deadline. All these rich assholes were currently grouped together in the app, but all those groupings were labeled as 'temporary' because they were tied to the wedding. As soon as it was over, or the next day when everyone flew home at the latest, those groups would dissolve and I'd lose the ability to affect a lot of rich, powerful people at once. Maybe I'd have more opportunities later, or maybe the Sophistry Generator could disappear just as suddenly as it appeared. I needed to take this opportunity while I had it.

When we got back to the resort, Nicole was met by a a special guest in the lobby.

"Mommy!" said Nicole. She ran up to her mother and wrapped her arms around her.

Mrs. Astor had been a great beauty once, but those days were clearly behind her. She'd put on weight and chopped off almost all her hair, apparently no longer caring much about her appearance.

"When did you get in?" asked Nicole.

"About an hour ago. I'm sorry I couldn't be here sooner, the charity can barely get through a day without me."

Yeah, the Astor family is the kind of rich people who drive their employees into poverty, then make themselves feel better by putting 1% of what they've earned back into charity. Honestly, I think Mrs. Astor spends so much time on her organizations as an excuse to get away from her husband.

Mr. Astor was hanging back a bit, but at this moment he moved up next to his wife and put his large hand on the small of her back. "Are you going to be joining us for drinks after dinner tonight, Nicole?"

"That depends." Nicole turned to me. "What did you have planned for this evening, honey?"

It took an hour for our driver to get us through the terrible road in the jungle to get to town, but it was worth it. I needed more BS, and this was the place to get it. The whole bridal party, plus Xavier and Steve (the guy Simone had been hooking up with) got out of our jeeps and looked at the dance club in front of us.

"So this is the place to have some fun?" asked Kennedy.

"Absolutely," I answered. I'd tipped three different people on the hotel staffs to tell me what the hottest place on the island was, and they'll all agreed that this was it. "Let's head in!"

The lights were low, the music was terrific, and I made sure the drinks were flowing. Nicole was incredible on the dance floor, and every guy wanted to dance with the ladies in our party. The local guys had never seen women as hot as this.

All of the beliefs had spread to Nicole! From what I knew, beliefs could only spread from the leader of a group. That should be Nicole, but Simone had always been the leader among their friend group. Perhaps that led to a weird dynamic where both of them had priority in different situations? However it worked, Nicole now believed that I was faithful, not just in the usual trust building way, but in a magically reinforced way. She also believed that people hook up a lot at social events. This was critical to my plan, but it looked like I wouldn't have to spend BS convincing her of it.

That left me with room to use tonight for other goals. I used my perk to think through how much my lies were going to cost me. I didn't have enough, but the night wasn't over yet.

The girls came back to our table. I'd made sure there was a round of shots waiting for everyone. I said, "Alright everyone, let's see who can finish their shots first! Ready? Go!"

Simone and Kennedy, the most competitive of the group, both slammed their drinks. The banged their empty shot glasses on the table at the same time, hitting it so hard I thought they might shatter their glasses.

"Simone wins!" I said, even though there was no way to tell who really finished first. She looked very pleased with herself and Kennedy smiled with a clear "I'll get you next time" look. I said, "Hey, I've got another great competition for the bride's maids. You girls have been having a lot of fun this week. How about you see how many people you can add to the fun before the night's over?"

"What do you mean?" asked Simone.

"He means a hook-up contest!" shouted Ainsley. She laughed, then burped, then laughed again.

"No, I don't think so," said Kennedy. "Simone and I are both here with someone."

I looked at Xavier and Steve. "Oh, come on guys, you don't mind, right? Wouldn't it be hot to see your girls hook up with someone? I'll even say it counts if they get a girl off."

The two men looked at each other.

I pulled her chin up to look into her eyes. "No, you don't get it. When we're married, taking care of you will be my job."

"Your job?"

"Yes. Since you were born, your father looked out for you. He protected you not only by keeping you safe, but by setting up rules. He gave you boundaries and guidelines. I'll be doing that after we're married."

Simone looked hesitant. "What? That's... that's not what marriage-"

Still, Nicole laid her head in my lap and fell asleep. Maybe having your mind fucked with so intensely was tiring. It gave me a chance to check the app.

So I could get everything I wanted eventually, I just needed to pick the one that was most important to me right now.
