Turn around, bright eyes...

That thought, that your first Brood Mother must be here somewhere, and being held hostage since she wasn't there to greet your reawakening, impels you to turn back to the fane. If they left you on that altar they might have left her nearby, so you explore the room, and finding no clues there, decide to try a door. First though you close the huge doors that lead out behind you, no sense alerting anyone passing by that you have woken.

You examine the three remaining doors carefully, noting the slight differences of each which might serve as clues.

The one to the left of you, which was on your right, is slightly darker than the one opposite it, and they both are about 4' by 6' with the indented pattern typical of the doors of the upper class, though you cant understand how you know that, and made of hardwood. You think the darker shade of the one on the left is from surface burns that have, mostly, been sanded away, but cannot be sure. Neither of them sports a window you can peer through, but they have different handles, the one to the left a simple wrought iron latch the other a brass lever.

Lastly, other than the one you just came in by, is the one behind the altar, which looks like it has been sanded down to within an inch of it's life, and now bears a freshly carved image of ten baneworms surrounding a Rat King in a circle. You have heard of both these creatures from the elder spiders, and what you have heard is mostly two things, 1: they are dangerous. 2: they are TASTY. They probably would be much less dangerous to YOU, you are higher level than your elders, but you still are not sure you should risk it.
