High above the slums and below the plate, the Shinra attack helicopter cruised towards the massive steel and concrete pillar. Rude turned on the spotlight when the call came in. Rude whistled low.

"Zero Alpha Tango confirmed …Understood," Rude clicked off the comms, turning to his partner. "The AVALANCHE mission's been approved. We are to proceed as planned." Reno scoffed.

"This is bullshit. What the hell are they thinking?"

''"Threats to public order are to be summarily put down." This is what we've always done," Rude said, adjusting his glasses. Reno looked down. Giant Shinra trucks loaded with robots and troops started emptying out near the pillar as the slum watch reacted. Reno sighed, mentally conceding.

""Summarily put down." Guess it's a little late to grow a conscience. …Meh."

This was going to be a long night.
