Who to text?

It was Tuesday afternoon, Mark’s tenth day on campus. The weekend had flown by, mainly due to the fact that he spent the entire Saturday hungover and in bed.

After doing a little bit of studying in the library, he felt himself struggling to get anything done. Mark constantly checked his phone, refreshing his social media, distracting him from his study.

He was thinking about texting someone, someone to hang out with for the night.

He opened Snapchat and started scrolling through people’s stories to see what they were up to.

There was Jess, she was at a bar with a couple of friends. Several snaps of cocktails and other alcoholic drinks. He couldn’t message her.

He then saw Matt’s story, he was chilling with Cassidy in the city. So he couldn’t text either of them.

Maple’s story came up next. A selfie of her in her dorm with the caption ‘all nighter study sesh, shoot me’. Any chance of meeting up with her was gone.

Paul’s story was next. Looked like he was doing some sort of ****, Mark was surprised to see him actually posting it.

Then there was Miranda’s, a mirror selfie of her in her dorm, she was dressed in her gym wear. The caption said “study then gym sesh”, she really did look incredible.

Mark thought about his options on what to do.
