Trying to find the criminals

As you watch the sun set on the horizon, you realize you have to act fast before you forget what the criminals look like. You can still remember the face of the boss and a couple of his crew, so you quickly get dressed and teleport back to New York, leaving the boat in the ocean. Sure, the boat costs a fortune, but without Abby you doubt you can steer it back and it would take too long anyway. Once you're back on land, you find the location of the FBI office and head there, activating your mind control ring as you enter.

There are lots of men and women in suits in there and usually you would be intimidated but you stay focused on your task and ask to see a sketch artist at the front desk. With your mind control ability in use, nobody asks any questions of you and you're brought to a sketch artist who then draws the men according to your description. You're not too sure about the goons, but you think you have the boss's mug mostly correct and the drawing is really good too. You instruct the agent who did the sketch to process it immediately and run it through their databases. However, even with your magical abilities, it appears that even as the top priority for the FBI, you're informed that it would still take 2-3 days for their computers to do a full run of the images. Unfortunately, none of your rings can speed that process up so you leave your number with a FBI agent with clear instructions to make it his top priority and to call you right away if they get a match.

Frustrated at the world and yourself, you return to the estate, knowing there's nothing else you can do.
