Trying the Desert

“Amy said that Silver really seemed to like the desert, from what he told me his timeline was pretty badly messed up, so he just goes there from time to time to just enjoy it. Blaze looked at Sonic who shrugged saying "I know it's the guess but it's the best one I got."

Sonic noticed Blaze letting out a sigh as she crotched down stretching a bit as Sonic noticed what she was doing as he got down to stretch as well giving her a confident smirk, "So, what's faster? The rush of the wind or of the flames of a princess?"

Blaze returned said smirk and said "I don't know, maybe we should find out", getting playful as they got ready and took off as fast as they could, Blaze and Sonic reaching neck and neck, the ground changing underneath them as a flaming comet and a blue blur were getting closer and closer. Sonic stopped for only a moment as his legs spiraled under him as he rocketed himself forward next to Blaze who had her mouth open with the speed.

As Sonic pulled up he saw Blaze in a few second after words saying "I win!" as Blaze looked at him quietly "That was fun though."

Blaze asked "Your legs? What was with them, they twisted and morphed under your legs as you rocketed forward." Sonic stretched a bit "I've never seen you do that before."

"Oh," Sonic stated with a humble brag "That's my signature, Figure 8 technique, spins only legs and afterwards I blast forward. I sometimes just do it for fun, just to feel the wind rushing past my quills." Blaze looked at him a bit impressed, "Though I don't usually break it out during contests, " he said a little embarrassed "Last time I did I ended up tripping on a rock I didn't see and face planted like a total geek." which got Blaze to laugh at his expense as Sonic just let her, no reason to get testy with her.

After they chatted, Sonic and Blaze looked out to see where Silver could have possibly gone if he even came here at all. Blaze looked at Sonic and motioned for him to get to her, the Blue Blur standing next to the Flaming Princess as she said "These rocks have been moved recently...and not in any natural way." Sonic pointed out that it could just be explorers however, Blaze shook her head saying "No, look at the height, it has to be Silver." she said in relief "That means he's got to be nearby."

Sonic crossed his arms and said "Hmm," looking out from one of the sand dunes. Sure enough, Blaze was right, Silver's boot prints were on the sand. The question was, where are they heading?
